How is The Escapist seen by the rest of the Internet?

I love the escapist, I've seen people get some shit for things they said, just from reading I've seen this not interacting I just set up an account, but as I was saying they usually deserve it like the 15 year old who said we needed martial law imposed on america and corporal punishment re-emplaced in schools.

That doesn't surprise me at all, escapists are seen as "elitist pricks" because we are not a bunch of retards. Unlike the rest of the internet, we are only 50% retards as opposed to the average 95%.

Honestly, I don't find much of a problem here. Seems to me most haters have never really taken their time to actually explore the site, only having gone through Zero Punctuation, Unskippable and how Moderators work around here, so they avoid it........ seriously?
