Not the last time you had sex (unless your last date was a one-night stand). Last time you and a member of the opposite sex (or the same sex, if you're that-way inclined) went on a romantic outing (or at the very least spent time together).

And if you've never been on a date in your life, what's stopping you?

To answer my own question, my last date was two months ago. Part of a brief fling that went sour when she demanded I meet her parents...after we'd been dating for a week. I've been single since then.

I usually like to keep to myself. It's one of the reasons that I'm single.

I'm currently in a 3 year relationship and live with them, so near enough every day I spend time with them. As for going out on a date it was to see the new Res film (I know, I know) about 3ish weeks ago. How romantic.

About...
Ummm...
Errr...
∞ years ago.

Simply, never been on one.
Why?
All the people that I would WANT to take on a date are taken.
Why?
Because I'm awkward around them.
Actually, I'm awkward around EVERYONE.

So, you're not counting breathmint as a date?
If we're not counting a one-night stand, well, if we stay home and I cook her an omelet and we watch a movie, does that count?

Being in love with someone I can't date (yet?).

My heart's already sold to someone, even though she's out of my reach (physically, she lives about 4000 km's away). She isn't the girl of my dreams, she's way more than that. I firmly believe that she can make me happier than anything else on the world and that we can be together if we both want to make it happen.

For now though I just have to wait, and being the loyal dog I am, I'm doing just that.

Other than that, there aren't any datable girls around here anyway. And if there are there's pretty much no way I can meet them, there isn't exactly a hang-out spot for people like me.

Does that include people you are not romantically involved with but you still go out on dates with? Because me and my best friend are like that. I took her out to tea before she went to Europe earlier this year. That was in January. Ive been chilling this year, much cheaper.

About a year ago. More are coming up on the horizon though.

And I agree with the hamster up top. It's really not that hard to get a date.

Mine are just far between because of the crappy date material in my immediate vicinity...

Is never a time?
The reason is because I have high standards of people. I find it hard to find people I'm interested in and apparently people find it more difficult to be interested in me. The only girl I ever asked out, because I thought I could actually do well with, rejected me with excuses, that became lies.

What's stopping me? A couple of things, actually.

One, I'm kind of a dumbass when it comes to signals. I'll totally not pay attention when a girl is trying to flirt with me, and I'll recognize this in retrospect.
Two, dating seems like a game I don't feel like playing. I've seen my friends and how they date, and it's not something that I'm (currently) willing to go through. However, this can change as time goes on, but this is the sentiment I feel now.
It might also do with the fact that I keep to myself. I'm no pariah, but neither do I have the energy or initiative to engage anyone in a conversation unless I'm spoken to first. I'm just the type that doesn't need a shoulder to cry, mainly because I can't cry (unless I'm faking, which I've recently discovered that is mich easier to do than I expected).

I've had chances before, and everyone let me know that these girls had all wanted me, but I think I'm just to dense to realize it sometimes. Thank God for video games. What would I do without them?

Do pity dates count? If so... more than a decade ago.

"Why not?" Well, I think fugliness accounts for a lot of it, kind of hard to be anything other than the goblin skulking in the corners as a woman without the sociatally-determined 'vital good looks'. There's also the guano level of crazy, elitist expectations of romance and a romantic partner (partially in self-defense), being a girl gamer (often akin to being thought of as "one of the guys"), but those rarely come up during first impressions time.

The last time me and a member of the opposite sex spent time together was yesterday, when I went over to my friend's house to see his new guinea pigs. I got to name one. ^-^ Last date...uh. Probably last week. I went to see a movie with a guy who asked me to see a movie with him. Not sure if it counted as a date, though. We didn't arrange to meet up again or anything, but whatever. Free movie.

4 or 5 months ago? Kinda loses the oomph when you've been together long enough and live together.

I'll drink to the "datable girls locally" problem. I've never had any luck with Wastelanders. (yes, I needed a Fallout term to describe girls from Reno/Sparks! Since I already call this place "the Wasteland" and have been doing so since before I played Fallout, it fit perfectly.)

Since I've lived out here (since 2002) I've had more long-distance relationships (including one that led to the girl moving here and me being married for five years) than relationships with local girls.
