Went on a date last week; I have a good friend who I have such an arrangement with. It works for the two of us as we're not currently looking for a committed relationship, but need some physical 'intimacy'.

Never been on one. I'm a coward, I'm too afraid of rejection.
This, compounded by the fact that rejection is a virtual certainty, grace a my personality and confidence deficit. And I always try for people out of my league, because what's in my league isn't a great prospect.

Broke up a while ago, I probably let it go on a little longer than I should have, I had to meet the parents too and we'd only been going out like...3 weeks?

I felt really bad about it, he was probebly looking for somthing long...long term, I realised that Im just too heartless for a relationship and going to the movies is much easyer on your own, I certianly don;t feel like going on any dates anytime soon

and I still haven't given back his Ps2

I have never been on a date yet and I have a good feeling I will never go on a date. What is stopping me from dating is that I am a loner and I don't like to trust people. Plus, I kind of like being single and if I was to start dating it would get in the way of my video game playing time.

I've never been on a date with a lady I haven't had sex with because I'm(and possibly large parts of Denmark are) used to doing the other way around. Pick up a drunk girl you meet on a night out, have sex and then if it turns into a relationship then I can start worrying about going on dates with her to keep her well fed and happy. Not sure if it's a Danish thing or just my generation not being shy about sex with strangers. Or just me... I know some Danes go on date-dates but to me it's an Americanised phenomenon and as foreign to me as Halloween, Superbowl, etc. (it probably isn't historically, but to me it is).

Does getting a girl drunk enough to go home with you, count as a date? Anyway it's been a while since I'm not really interested in a relationship. Except for having that significant other for either cooking or cleaning because I'm sick of doing both. I love being single for the most parts though.

I did get some heavy petting going on last weekend at a Limp Bizkit concert with a girl I never got the name of. But I had to bail because my sister-in-law, who gave me a free ticket(her friend cancelled) got too drunk, fell down the stairs twice and had to be taken home. So if playing grab-ass with someone you don't know counts as a date: Last weekend. It would have led to sex(which I assume is why you go on dates) if I didn't have to make sure my brothers girlfriend got home safe. If it doesn't count: Never.

How the fuck do you Americans ever multiply if you have to endure long boring dinner dates just to get some tail?

It's been 2 years for me.
The reason being I'm picky when it comes to finding girls.
Also, I enjoy spending time at home, so date's don't really appeal to me. However, I do enjoy the occasional outing.

Never been on a date. What's stopping me?

Partially good old nervousness - though you wouldn't be able to tell - and partially that a lot all girls I tend to fall for eventually turn out to be really fucking crazy in one way or another.

Like the most recent fiasco: nice girl, instant click, same interests, then BAM. Superchristian. Thinks the earth is a couple of thousand years old. Doesn't even believe the theory of evolution. Tried to get me to reject the theory of evolution. It may sound shallow, but that's a major turn-off for me.

Now, now... do we need to sic "natural causes" on ya?
I'm not sure how to take this so I give you this chance to explain what you mean by this before I become sad at your ambiguous comment.

Roughly a week ago, we went to a shopping outlet then got Mcdonalds. Heres a tip- given the choice, most girls will choose shopping. Mostly to use you as a bag carrier but it still counts.

10 maybe more years, when i was still young silly girl. I don't do dates nor am i interested in relationships. I value my personal freedom and ability to choose whoever and whenever i want to hang out with.

I never had a date... *cries*

Mostly confidence. As in, I have none.
But also I need a job
and money
and to pass my driving test
and my own car
before I can really concentrate on that shit.

I don't know. I live with my partner and we do almost everything together, which is just how I want it. On the other hand, I honestly can't remember the last time we went on anything I'd consider a date - I'm totally excepting things like daytime jaunties to a pub for eats, or doing stuff around the house (like snuggling and watching a film).
