Why terror? The opposite sex aren't scary. They're people too.
Just relax, once you meet the right person it's surprisingly easy.

oh, hmm. Not too long ago. A month? I'm big on meals out and suchlike with my partners. Often we cook for ourselves and enjoy each others company, however. I'm going to count events like that because they fill the same purpose, just in the manner we enjoy most.

it's been like 2 years since i was on a date, although spent time w/ female friends 2 days ago, and will again tonight :) 1's the caster and 1's the healer for my weekly D&D game :D (3.5)

why? cuz when my fiancee left, i just didnt care for months, and i got rejected a couple times, besides that, just lazy, this town is filled w/ teenage hookers and adults more interested in there 9-5's and drugs than even having friends. since im joining the military, i just havent really given a damn, do kinda miss it though :/

Somewhere around five years ago.
The reason beeing during those 5 years I'v gotten attracted to various women only to find out they started dating someone else less than a frickin week before I asked them out, something that happened 4 times in a row over the course of two years, and from time to time finding out that charming girl with a great sense of humor and matching personality is in fact a lesbian, 2 or 3 times the latest years.

Nowdays I don't even bother because I'm tired of beeing disapointed.
Note that I have nothing against homosexual people at all, just listing frustrating coincidences.

Four years ago. I didnt become attracted to girls until a few months ago (seriously, I can remember the moment I realised),so all dates had to be instigated by the girl.

Whats stopping me now? I did say today that I would go out and ask some girls out, like, at bars and such. Then I realised its Sunday. Going out to town today would be weird. So I have to wait till at least Thursday. Plus, theres the fact that im about 4-6 years behind in terms of experiance; I live a fair while out of town, so if I drink I need to find a place to crash. Also im very confused as to what to do, and what to do for a date. Not complaining, just appealing for help with these. Im a bit out of my depth
Well, I can say as a girl that when a guy walks up, tells me a funny story because he overheard what I was talking about, then asks if I want to catch a movie or hang out and play a game is actually cool. Girls will usually say yes, I've known very few to say no. We just like the direct approach (at least in seattle)

OT: Does watching futurama and samurai jack with someone you know is attracted to you but probably won't get into a relationship with you a date? If so, last night.

My last date started roughly fourteen hours ago, but it isn't so much a date as my girlfriend and I have been lazing around the house doing the awful sickly-sweet couple stuff that everybody hates seeing other people do.

Probably a few months ago. A simple dinner date with my at-the-time girlfriend. As of late, I really don't plan on going on any more dates until I can fully determine that said girl isn't a complete head case with a set of emotions that swoop in and out like a swinging ship at an amusement park.

It's not that I'm inexperienced, it's the fact that I've managed to date a moron, future emo, and a massive head case. Cue back to my point above, and thus is the reason why that "few months" is likely to extend into a few years. Oh yeah, and there's Bulletstorm, Future Soldier, Borderlands, Medal of Honor, RAGE, and DC Universe Online shoved somewhere into that massive time lapse...

Honestly, (really) I have had quite a bit of success with girls. i have just never been on a date. Ever. I basically just become friends with everyone, and yeah. That's it.

My first thought when I saw the title of the thread was "Captain's Log, Stardate...Supplemental."

Don't gots the guts. I'm not really good looking, I have a rather bland personality, I'm overweight, the fact that going on dates is kinda not done here in Iceland.

A proper date? Huh, not sure if I've ever really been on a date. I've mostly just stumbled into relationships. I'm too timid to ask folks out on a date too.

I'm currently in a 3 year relationship and live with them, so near enough every day I spend time with them. As for going out on a date it was to see the new Res film (I know, I know) about 3ish weeks ago. How romantic.
I'm mad my bf didn't take me to that! DX

I've never gone on a date. I find the entire concept to be ineffective and genuinely disingenuous since it propagates the notion that people need to advertise and "sell" themselves. I prefer honesty.

I've been in relationships but they never started out as "dating".

I've never been on a date. :( Dudes just don't like me much, I guess. I ask guys out once I've gotten to like them, but always face rejection, and guys never ask me out.

At least, dudes don't like me in real life. I have a small amount of fanboys on the internet XD
