I use this Avatar for everything, same with my name.

It took me ten minutes to take the pic and photoshop it.

Captcha:...it has some symbol I don't even recognize

I didn't have one when I signed up because I didn't know how much I'd post.

I have no idea when I added this one, but it's my first and so far only.

All of 3 seconds, after my Queen logo got dull I was thinking about what to use as a new one and I was watching the Simpsons.

Not that long. My first one was of my old kitty, Hoomin and I just updated it every few months as he got older. Sadly he passed away, but I got another kitty, the one you see there, she is called Zebedee and I do the same with her.

I picked one as soon as I joined the forum but I switched them a lot back in the old days. Ernie, Pennywise, Me, Blobfish, Mr. Flibble, Frankie Boyle and now me again. I think I'm sticking with this avatar for a while.

Yep. Another thread. From me. About avatars. The irony is absolutely killing me right now. Hahaha.

Anyway, on to business. I thought about this subject when I noticed a few other users with relatively high post counts without avatars. ravensheart18 and manythings are two users that come to mind. But I have also seen, in the past, some users go from having no avatar, to having one. People whose names I recognized during the day, suddenly got their avatar.

What I'm asking is, how long did it take you to pick your avatar? How much time in days, or how many posts had you made before you got your avatar?
About as long as it takes to browse my Photobucket. I guess you're still looking yourself, right?
Nope, I've made a conscious decision to not get one. I really don't care. At first, I just didn't think about getting one. When I did think about it, I figured that finding a good unique one would be really hard, so I stopped wanting one.

It bothers some people, which amuses me greatly. Although, even though it amuses me, it ain't trollin'.
Nah, I wouldn't think it as trolling. You've been here all this time and no avatar, so I was just cracking a joke. Humor without trolling really is awesome.

I'm not sure, but it was at least two months. The original problem was that I was really lazy in trying to get one. Then I realized that having no avatar really didn't give you an identity, and then I didn't know what was a good, unique avatar. I eventually decided on something simple and unique in a weird-yet-cool fashion.

I put mine up a little after I made this account. Took me a few seconds, since this is an avatar I use frequently.

The new background is from Sleekgiant's March Mayhem Avatar Thread.
