I love that game, Need for Speeed 2 was my favorite. Spent many hours playing the third with friends. We both used one half of the keyboard, splitscreen. That's right, A PC game that supports split screen. Don't see that very often.EcksTeaSea said:Been playing since 1996 when I was 5. Dad bought our first computer a few months after our family moved to America. First game for that computer that I remember playing was Need For Speed 1. It has been a good 13 years of gaming filled with ups and downs.
See if it's on this listRyuk2 said:For 10 years. I got one cheap NES and a friend gave me tons of games. Year or two later i got my first PC and bought Doom, Warcraft (1 or 2), Lost Viking un some Sierra game about running away from demons, burning grass and getting keys (tell me the name of that game, if you know it).
I've also been gaming since 1990 or '91. On both the 8-bit Gameboy and PC.CrysisMcGee said:I made this thread just to say one thing. MW2 is Mechwarrior 2, and that's what I read every time I see those letters. Of course, I understand why it is used for Modern Warfare 2, it just keeps reminding me of how long I've been a gamer.
For me, ever since 1990. Got my NES. Also played PC games at the same time.
James Pond!! Amazing game! Doesnt seem as fun on the DS these days. Were games just cooler when we were young or what? Also Comander keen, that game was so freaking hard to complete!metza said:since about 1991 or so, I used to play James Pond 2 obsessively when I was about 6.
I had an Oddysey 2. Wait, I've still got it. Still works fine too. Found games for it at second hand stores, pretty decent ones too.JourneyMan88 said:I had the original Magnavox Odyssey in the mid 70's. My dad got the Atari 2600 in '78 as soon as he got his tax refund. My buddy had ColecoVision and we'd all hit his house after school to play. I got the 5200 next, the Atari 800XL computer, and Commodore 64. Unfortunately, I completely skipped over NES during my late teens/early 20s (car). Came back with several PC's; 286 w/DOS, 386 Win3.1, my sister's 486 Win3.11. Finally I went from N64 to PS2 to my current PS3. In a nutshell, well over 30 years.
To be honest, I'm still mad they went to smaller boxes. The bigger ones came with more objects inside. Plus the boxes looked less like console games. I still have a huge map I got with Wing Commander Prophecy.Maxman3002 said:Since around 1994. Remember all the awsome games on the PC that came in big boxes with a manual and CD inside. May have been big an bulky but at least the manual was a good read and it looked way prettier.
Also as an added mention my first console was a sega dreamcast. Why did that ever go bust? Its graphics were far superior to the PS1 and the games were cool. And who doesnt like an interactive memory card??
2 of my friends had that, I remeber Pickaxe Pete, and a Stock Market game that we'd play for hours.CrysisMcGee said:I had an Oddysey 2. Wait, I've still got it. Still works fine too. As for PC's I had quite a few of tem. My dad used to work on computers and electronics for a living, and our house had no shortage of them. I Remember constantly playing games with the computer tower having no outer case. Had Boxes of Floppys, and tapes. Never new what the tape drive was for until I was in High school.
