As long as I can remember, when I was a lot younger, I played mostly doom and whatever educational game my parents got me. When I was nine, I got a game boy color. When I was 11, I got an old SNES from my cousin, that same year I got a game boy advanced. Then at 12, I got a Gamecube. A couple months later I got an old n64 from a pawn shop. At 15, I got a wii and a ds. Since then, I've been mostly into PC gaming.

How long have I been gaming? Hmmm, tough question. I got my first console in 1999 (nintendo 64) but I regularly played wolfenstien 3d, jazz jack rabbit and chips challenge as a small child. I maybe started sometime around 1994 I guess (I'd have been around 5).

Been gaming since the age of three, I am currently twenty. So, seventeen years. My first console was a Super Nintendo. I remember I loved Star Fox and Megaman X back then. Super Mario Brothers as well, but that's a given.

The first game I got for myself was NES and super Mario Bros for it when I was 8, maybe. I had occasionally played Nes in a friend's house before that.

I'm not entirely sure which year I started, but I remember playing Pole Position, Paratroopers and Digger on my father's PC, probably around 89-90, when I was 3 or 4 years old, and later Probotector (censored version of Contra), Turtles and Bionic Commando on my neighbor's NES, which was probably around 1991.

I made this thread just to say one thing. MW2 is Mechwarrior 2, and that's what I read every time I see those letters. Of course, I understand why it is used for Modern Warfare 2, it just keeps reminding me of how long I've been a gamer.

For me, ever since 1990. Got my NES. Also played PC games at the same time.
I cant remember, i always played video games...

so lets say you cant really play them until your....3ish, so about... 21-22 years...

i figured this out as my younger brother was born when I was 5 and his father married my mother when I was 4, and I know we got our amiga 1000 befor the marraige (with what i can remember) so was about 3ish...could be 4...

but saying that I know we had an atari before got the computer, so who knows.....

having older brothers means getting to play with thier stuff :p

Oh good god I'm getting old...

Yeah I hear you. I keep reading 95, 98, etc. I keep thinking I was in high school then.

About...hmm maybe 1997 ish? I would be 4 at the time, what game was my first, I'm not sure
See that right there, not helping me not feel old.

OT: I had an Atari 2600. In around about '85 or so. The first one I actually got where I remember wanting games for it and understanding what was going on was the NES I got in about '87 or so.

Since "Raptor: Call of the Shadows" on my family's first computer in 1995. I was 5 years old.
Man I love this game. Had the demo for quite a while until I finally found a full version copy for 3 dollars.
