How long have you been gaming?

I made this thread just to say one thing. MW2 is Mechwarrior 2, and that's what I read every time I see those letters. Of course, I understand why it is used for Modern Warfare 2, it just keeps reminding me of how long I've been a gamer.

For me, ever since 1990. Got my NES. Also played PC games at the same time.

1995-Since it was possible for me to hold a controller and actually play the game. (4 years old)
I managed to beat sonic 1 and 2 with all the chaos emeralds by the time i got to 5.
Played the remade version of donkey kong for the GB. Remember when the N64 was the most awesome jump in technology ever...
Blowing into cartridges ...It worked.

And no, I've got no idea of when that happened. It was probably a SNES controller though.

Must have been Super Mario World for the SNES. Oh, actually I think it was duck hunt before that but Mario World was the first one I played to any real extent. Christ, I feel old.

I believe I first got a game boy colour when I was 3, in 1999.

So that's 10 years.

Back in 2006 when I got my computer. Then I got my 360 last year. Talk about a milestone.

EDIT: 2006 was when I really started gaming but when I was 7 I got a PS1 and played Rugrats: Search for Reptar and then some more awesome kids games. Fuck yeah.

Since I started gaming only a few years ago I think that my standard for graphics is pretty high, though I'm not really picky. Even though I have only been a gamer for 4 years I've still played alot of games: all F.E.A.R. games, all Halo games, Fallout 3, Dead Space, FFVIII, Crisis Core, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, CoD4, etc, etc...........

Didn't think it was that long ago, but looking at the facts it must have been! Anyway I had a big gap between that game (which I loved) and playing on my son's GBC! And it was the GBC that really got me back into games

Nobody has stated they started gaming in the 80s yet, so here goes.

First started gaming in probably the mid 80s, 1985 or 86 perhaps on the ZX Spectrum. Over 20 years then, and more than half my life. Scary stuff!
