About sixteen years. I remember when I first got a GameBoy with Super Mario Land and Tetris. I went into a lull for a while, but then, in 1998, Pokemon Red and Blue hit the US and it started all over again.

Been gaming for maybe 20ish years. The first memories of games I have were at friends houses on the NES, and the first games I remember at home were on the PC... mostly in DOS and then MYST and a Carmen Sandiego game.

First console I owned was an SNES.

My PC gaming started with adventure and puzzle games, then moved to RTSs like Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, and Age of Empires, and Starcraft.

Those were the days! :D

Well turns out The first game I properly played that I owned was Little Big Adventure 2 in 1997 when it came out! I would have been 8. Then in 1988 when I was 10, I got a playstation with the original Spyro the Dragon for christmas, and moved from the computer to there and have been a console gamer since!

I remember watching the in-game demo for Spyro in the widow of a shop in my town, I wtched it on a loop and got very excited. There was a bit from one of the first worlds when Spyro takes out a bad guy in a round rield, overlooked by a ledge all the way around. (Like being in a kind of sunken keep.) There was a stone tower in the middle of this field with an entrance to it, but the clip ended before you could see what was in it. I spent the few weeks before christmas dreaming about what was going to happen when you entered the tower! Turns out my biggest theory that you dropped down into an underground cavern was squashed as soon as I played it! Turned out you went up, not down, on one of those whirlwind lift thingys, and then you'd glide up on the overlooking ledge!

Wow, that memory just came flooding back to me! Now I am sitting and having similar theorys and predictions on images and clips I have seen in Skyrim! :p

Got my C64 when i was 13 in 1985/86 and swapped cassettes full of games in school. Oh, the memories. Who dares wins, Commando, InterKarate, GhostnGoblins, The last Ninja - old classics.

So... that was 26 years ago. Jesus, how time flys when you're having fun. :)

That's part of my problem really. At 39 i'm too old for gamergirls and come over as being too young for women of my age. :p Urgh.

1983...? 1984? Something around that when i first encountered the mythical creature that was known to mankind as Arcade Machine. Come to think of it, those shiny boxes of fun ate nearly single month salary from me over the course of years.
So yeah, been a while, got over 20 years of field experience playing video games. Starting to think, in case i would ever need to change my work, i should put it in my CV.

1998 was my first experience with gaming. Yes, the wonder that was Age of Empires. Those were the days. Now I realise that was 13 years ago and I weep.
