How many DS's have you ever had?

I think that shows that Nintendo are overestimating their market penetration. It seems that a lot of people who buy a DS end up buying another, either as an upgrade or replacement to their old one.

You might want to get more than a dozen people's input before you draw such a conclusion.

Well when the DS lite came out I upgraded, then the touch screen broke on my black DS lite, so I got a (newly released at the time) red DS lite

I have one DS and it's one of the originals. Bought it off of a friend. It's the only one I've ever had. I don't use it much at all.

The more people let me know what they have the better, I'm thinking there should be many more people who don't own a DS, but maybe aren't reading the topic due to the title.

2 I had a normal DS but I spilled water on it and it put a bubble in the screen, nothing major but it was enough to make me buy the DS Lite. I wouldn't of bought it if my other other didn't get warped but I think the screen quality difference really is worth it.

I will NEVER buy a DSi .........unless Golden Sun 3 comes out and only works on it somehow, all rules are off when it comes to Golden Sun 3.

My brother is a serious impulse buyer so he bought a DSi for no reason. I think he basically said "Ooooh! Camera! Shiny Shiny! WANT!" I mean, he already had a DSLite...

I don't see the need to buy things unless they break or there is significant improvement, and I don't see how removing backwards compatibility in favour of an SD slot is a particularly great improvement...
