How many enimies have you killed in your gaming career? (A rough guess)

500,000,000...minimum. I've level ground to level 99 in many a JRPG but upt to 4000 in both Disgaeas and 2000 or so in Soul Nomad in addition to hitting the level cap multiple times in play throughs of Fallout 3, Knights of the Old Republic 1&2, Dragon Age and Jade Empire and that's just in the last 5 years.
If I tried to recall how many characters I killed in action games and Mortal Kombat, I'd go mad...or at least get bored and go play something less violent for a change. I have yet to kill anybody in a Sims game...intentionally.

Im someone who has played MMO's ...alot. So this number cannot even be imagined by human brain capacity. I'm sorry. I'm not even going to try and guess MMO's + PC games + Console games, the number will be horrendous.

Let me be frank, cause this brings up an interesting thought in my mind.

In MMO's your set to kill x amount of monster y in about z quests each level.

Assuming that we're playing WoW and we have in fact sold our souls, we'd kill around... 50 each level to 20, 60 after that to 40, 80 to level 60 and finally 120 to level 80.

To level 20 = 1000
To level 40 = 1200
To level 60 = 1600
To level 80 = 2400
Total = 6200

Bare in mind I'm probably waaaaaaaaay off, but assuming theres a couple hundred/thousand with each other game they've played or if they have "alt" characters. It may or may not be in the realms of a gratuitous amount.

Its dependant on the gamer's preference and dedication to gaming.

Those assumptions per levels are WAAAAY way off. In fact I believe WoW gives me a number I've killed in the armory statistic... lemmee go fetch it.

...yeah. I'm not even gonna add anything to that via MapleStory, Rappelz, Guild wars and any other game I've played console or otherwise. Like I said OBSCENE NUMBER.

Realistically theres no way you could ever estimate every kill in every game of every description, not even close.

Estimating how many frags however (I.E. actual kills again human players), well thats a little easier. I had well over 50,000 kills in BF2 alone, add a good 6-8k from UT3, a few hundred from CSS and a couple thousand from the other Source games and FEAR combat i'm probably closing in 75k.

Yeah, that probably is a lot easier to estimate. I would guess I have about 60,000+ with about 30,000 coming from Halo 3.

To be fair, I don't play WoW anymore, I'm against it's heartless means of sucking the life out of people when I can just as eaily play a better, free online game which doesn't involve my giantic horse/cow/ex-girlfriend thing being laughed at by the mage equivilent of Verne Troyer.

Be that as it may, 176 grand doesn't compare to the assumptions that some others are coming to, just WoW or not. I find it hard to believe that many have killed up to a billion, although its possible dependant on age and dedication, though I'd hardly want to brag about being a 30 year old hardcore MMO player. Casual maybe, but you can't exactly kill a small continent by being casual.

Im not here to debate about WoW, I seem to be immune to it's so called 'life sucking ablility' and can play on and off how I choose. In fact I haven't played it since the start of November, planning to pick it up again in January for a little while.

What I mean is those stating a Few Million probably are the more accurate figures. Billions? No not likely, but those in the million or two are probably onto somthing.

definitely in the millions. I mean, I've achieved the two genocide achievements in Dead Rising and Left 4 Dead respectively which is 100,000+ right there. There were countless creatures who I killed off throughout the Nintendo and SNES years ... Thinking about Dynasty Warriors, though makes me consider that there are several hundred thousands of other people who I killed ...

damn there have been a lot ... bots, NPCs, newbs, online gamers. I hope Manhunt gets redone in HD like the God of War games ... even if it doesn't I will probably download it anyway >.>

I am playing an MMO as of recently where I just finished a quest where I killed 750 enemies in a specific area of the game. I can say a few thousand for that game alone.

At least they do not make the slayer quests required for the completion of the game.

I have also heard enough people say "Defcon" that I had to try the demo real quick. I am officially up a few extra million. I am reminded, however, that I have also played pandemic 1&2. *adds a few billion*

I never started counting, but I would have to say, with L4D helping me out big time...500,000 to 1,000,000.

And that's Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Resident Evil 4, FF7 and FF7 Crisis Core...etc...it's huge. I usually get at LEAST 1,500 zombies per campaign, and like 50 enemies per each Subchapter in RE4. And in FF7 Crisis Core, I could kill everything in one hit and I played through the game eight times in 80 hours of gameplay time.

Mix that in with my FPS experience...
