I want at least 1 son and one daughter. I will give an irrelevant reason for each that has nothing to do with my actual parental instincts. Such as the fishing reflex and the "raise your son to be a smartarse, witty person and hope that, against all odds, the combination of Irish and Australian accents he will be subjected to will give him a brilliant English accent.
One daughter because...
Well, when the guy who's gonna take out young Cecilia (Not a name I am remotely considering thinking about, by the way) to her prom/debs/school dance/senior dance/whatever, I'll be ready with my best suit and trenchcoat, sitting moodily in an armchair in a darkly lit room, wearing my trilby and smoking a cigarette, and when he walks in, I'll say something indicating that I'm a no-shit, kick-ass detective from the 40s and 50s.
I don't feel like getting any deeper into this right now, for whatever reason.
May edit more in tomorrow.

I oppose the Roman-Catholic idea of having 5 or 6 kids but I don't think there's anything wrong with more than 2. I'm a third son, myself.

Also, I don't buy into the "moral obligation" thing about overpopulation.
People should have as many kids as they can handle and want, and as long as there's contraceptives and adoption, I endorse fucking.

As for names, if I ever have a girl it's gonna be either Dagger or Anita.
If it's a boy, it'll either be Mal (short for Malcolm) or Tyler.

No, I don't think its ethically wrong to have more than two kids. I do think that having kids for the sake of having more kids is a bit wonky though. As long as you can support them, I'm fine with it.

I love your profile picture, where is it from?
OT: I wouldn't find it immoral at all, coming from a family of 8. Yea overpopulation, but hopefully we'll be living on the mooooooon by then. I wouldn't want many children, maybe one in my like, late 30s.

Yeah, two is nice.. but three would be the maximum.

I'd name my son Gabriel and my daughter ... I don't want a daughter.

2 is a good number. I grew up with two brothers I love very much.

On one hand I would like kids because it is the only way to leave anything semi-lasting and semi-worthwhile in the world. Plus I would like to experience as much of life as I can before I die. Becoming a father is one of the things I'd like to experience.

On the other hand I like my freedom. I like doing stuff I want when I want, and I like not answering to anyone. If I, for any reason, should decide I have gotten enough out of life I want the freedom to and it when and as I please. With children I dont think I could bear to leave them like that.

If I ever decide I want kids I'll go for 3 or 4. Also it's not the western world that is contributing the most to what some people think is over population its country's like India so I don't think there is any problem with having a bunch if you can afford them

No, it's not immoral to want more than 2 children, irresponsible maybe (depending on the parents and their situation) but my personal limit is 3. I am one of 4 siblings myself, that was tough enough on my parents and they sacrificed alot to raise us. But 3 always has seemed like the right number for me, when I have number 1 I'll decide where to go from there.

I'm sorry, but I personally see this as a bit sickening seeing some people say what they have to have in terms of children. The feel I get off that is that it's your choice who they're going to be. Go with what you get, I mean Christ, it seems like some people are talking about children in this thread as if they're dogs.

Personally, I don't really want a child. At the current moment though, I'm in highschool. Maybe when I'm older I may want one, but otherwise I don't want to.

I can solve the population problem, I just need a fuckton of bullets, a few guns, and everyone in the world to line up and close their eyes.

Anyway, if I have children, I guess I'll have 2-3 at most, and I don't have names for them because I want to see their faces first before I come to a decision, AND I want to make it sound nice with whatever the lady comes up with, which is my plan, I get first name, she gets middle, next one, I get middle, she gets first, so on and so on.

None. I'm not having children. I've made a promise to myself, and even if it comes between not having children and losing the person I love, I'm still not having children.

A few reasons, number 1, I'd be a terrible father. I'm a very selfish person, and I couldn't handle children. They'd end up growing up quite mentally fucked.
Number 2, I don't like children. They annoy the shit out of me. I can't be in a room with anyone under 12, or I have to leave.
Number 3, the world is fucked. Seriously, we're all going to die, and quite quickly too. Probably not in our lifetime, but certainly soon. I wouldn't want my children or my childrens children to go through that kind of pain.
Number 4, which kind of contradicts number 3, is that the only way we can save this planet is if a lot of us don't have children. Having children is one of the worst things you can do to the environment, overpopulation is killing the planet.

So there, that's my reasons.

I think it is immoral to have more than 2 kids, given how bad everything is. I wouldn't restrict it, and you're welcome to it if you really want to, but make sure you consider the ramifications of it before you have them.
Im voting you for president dude
