Ok, I was looking through the news today and I saw that the Duggar family has just had their 19th child (all by the same parents). In my mind 19 is WAY too many. I'd settle for 3. I wanna know what you people at the escapist think about this family and how many children sound reasonable to you?

1. But then again I don't want kids anytime soon. They're cuter when they're not yours. You can play with them and then give them back to their parents when they start crying.

My great great gran had 22kids, quite a few of them died in war. Although 2 would be enough for me.

3 is too many. Look at what happens after a population goes through a period of explosive expansion - after a while the resources deplete faster than they can be replenished and you have a sudden contraction of population size. In our terms, meaning a lot of premature death.

Ok, for this day and age, really having a family over 7 kids is unusual. What makes this story of the family a little more odd is that their oldest child just had his own kid. (so the grandchild is older than the baby of the family)

Two kids is too many. Did you know, 100 years ago, the earths population was a tenth of what it is now?

I'd love to have 2 kids, a boy and a girl. I'd rather not go over that, but we'll see when I get to that point.

It's too many once her uterus gives out. She's always freaking pregnant, so it can't be too long now.
