Wow, what a shock, we're on a gaming forum and a large number of people said "One is too many." I would never have guessed that would happen. Way to avoid stereotyping yourself guys!

Anyway, avoiding arguments of overpopulation (which are wrong as the average family size in first world countries is now less then 2, which means as soon as the previous generations die the population will start to decrease) too many children is when your previous children start to suffer for it.

Only children have an unfortunate habit of being selfish as hell. More than two and someone's gonna be fucked up with middle-child syndrome (unless you go to the extreme and have a big Catholic or Mormon family where you might as well be the crowd at a sports game at family reunions.)

I'm thinking someday I'll have two of them. Have to meet a girl who'd make a great mom first.

There was a program on recently, featuring David Attenbrough, which was about overpopulation. To be honest, in my opinion it is irresponsible to have over two children. The population of the Earth has Quadrupled in the last 80 years, and by 2012, there is expected to be over 10 billion people. Its too much, two children at the most is plenty.
The population is going to increase by over three billion in the next two years? I know that there is the combination in people living longer and more babies being born, but really 10 billion people in 2012?

Our world is already overpopulated. Quite frankly, people should stop having so many damn children. Especially people that live in poverty, they don't need multiple children when they can't afford to support themselves.

I guess it depends. Provided I come to like young children I guess two would be cool, at least one (or maybe both) of them would be adopted. Obviously the partner has a say in this.

Please keep your patronising stereotypes to yourself; you have no idea about my life or my choices regarding children.

You remind me of the desperate hormone driven baby factories that church and society expect us to be.

Some people like myself are capable of deciding independently of peer accepted norms and free from preaching parents.

To dispel another of your potential misconceptions, I have no dislike for children; I just don't have a compulsive need to own one myself.

Wow, someone's a touchy moron aren't they?

I don't stereotype gamers, I just pointed out how funny it was that so many of you are conforming to them. A point you've just backed up doubly so with that rant.

I know full well stereotypes are foolish. But that doesn't mean it isn't funny when people conform to them.

But, as I said, it's funny when people conform to stereotypes, and your rant there was one of the best yet. I especially like the part where you said "Some people like myself are capable of deciding independently of peer accepted norms and free from preaching parents." because that's exactly what every forum nerd is meant to think of themselves, when they're actaully thinking exactly the same as all the other forum nerds.

You know estimates, I don't actually believe that there will be 10 million people in 2012, it sounds a little dramatic even for me. But that is what they estimated.

Are you insane? Summon some poor, innocent creature from (non-specific) god knows where and force them to live in this horrible place?
I say adopt, and allow the human race to die out with some style.
Seriously, it would be like if everyone just didn't turn up one day for school.
