How many of you guys have heard of Tim Tams?

Yes. I was in a mixed Aus/US guild in WoW and we had many a spirited debate about proper cookies/biscuit terminology.

Note that despite the similar appearance, American biscuits, which are basically a kind of fluffy, crumbly bread, are not the same thing as scones, which have a similar shape and texture, but are sweet and pastry-like.

OT: I can honestly say that I've never heard of Tim Tams, which is interesting, because they're made by Pepperidge Farms. The person who said it was an American company wasn't kidding.

Scones aren't all sweet, you can make savoury scones aswell.

Savory isn't the right word, either; it's just crumbly bread. Kind of bland, really, unless you add some butter or honey to it.

Looks a lot like wheat thins to me -- especially the Harvest Crisps flavor, which even has a similar shape:

. Although I have to hand it to you, we don't have pizza flavored wheat thins in the US. Thinking about it, that would probably taste amazing. Unfortunately, that kind of cracker usually isn't heavily flavored around here; you're supposed to top them, usually with cheese, but some people get fancy with things like fruit as well. The few flavors we have are designed to complement cheese, with the exception of cheezits, which come with the cheese flavoring already baked in.

You're not really supossed to dip or add toppings to shapes, they're already full of flavour (except for Cheddar, which I don't personally like), and there is a pretty good variety of flavours, my personal favourite being "nacho cheese" flavour.

Why yes I have, I had some a few months ago here in the US. I got them in the store, and this is a picture of the type I had.

I have had Tim Tams in their endless varieties. Downed a packed of the Black Forest ones followed by a packet of the Double Chocolate ones not too long ago. That'll be my Tim Tam intake for the rest of the year though. A friend of mine won a competition to win a year's supply of them.
