I have 5 songs on my mp3 player.

I have 4044 songs, but I don't put them on shuffle because Foobar2000 seems to favor Cannibal Corpse to an unhealthy degree. I swear, it's like every fourth or fifth song.

603 songs of nothing but metal (except for a few songs, like the Snake Eater theme, but that is just as awesome) and my collection is still growing. I also listen to majority of these songs.

Only ~4000 on this one, but couple that with ~1000 on my dad's, a few hundred on my bro's, about 40 on my mum's (all Take That, I might add) and another couple of thousand on my sister's, and we're in business.

In the neighborhood of 6000, across about 200 albums. Of those, I actually possess the disc for about 150 of the albums and the rest were digitally purchased. The only thing interesting about any of this is the vast bulk of the collection was purchased either during the period from November 2004 - January 2006, and October 2006 - October 2007, when I was deployed with the US Army. Amazon will, in fact, deliver to a war-zone and as such is the greatest store on the planet.

Yeah, not much I know, but I don't pirate music myself out of sheer paranoia (despite it being semi-legal in my country).

Keep in mind though that I am an elitist when it comes to music (not in the "OMG I LISTEN TO NU METAL BECAUSE IM Br00TAL" way, but the "I only listen to x of x genre, and y of y genre way.")

That and its because I listen to all of them and constantly clean out songs that have gotten old which is usually because some of my friends put it as their ringtones and absolutely kill the song.
