One more year left on a BS in Physics, a supplementary major in Applied Mathematics, a two minors in Astronomy and Economics. I couldn't make up my mind in life, can you tell?
It requires some elements but as far as I remember its relatively light on the maths side. As far as I remember its a case of you get x formula and you punch the numbers into itAkichi Daikashima said:A2 Physics practically requires AS Maths
I was in the same boat last year. Physics was the subject that thoroughly screwed me over and the reason for my repeating, for pretty much the same reasons you said.Akichi Daikashima said:I'm at sixth form, AS, currently bracing for impact for the exams next week.
I am doing:
-AS English Literature
-AS French
-AS Psychology
-AS Physics
In A2, I will do:
-A2 English Literature
-A2 French(hopefully, but I am doing better in Physics at time of speaking, but time will tell)
-A2 Psychology
The reason for physics was that I liked it in GCSE, and I wanted to continue physics for at least a year because I love the sense of exploration surrounding it.
However, I soon learnt that the education system sucks the fun out of everything you like to learn, and also A2 Physics practically requires AS Maths, and I'll be buggered before I consciously decide to study that tripe after how boring and stifling the subject was in GCSE(and how its taught in general, to me, it's like putting my brain into a jar containing Vogon poetry spoken ad infinitum).
I'd like to get into Uni, and (preferrably) do Philosophy, Psychology and Linguistics(it doesn't require an A level in Philosophy, there's just a "logical reasoning" entrance test, requirements, A*AA), if my predicted grades won't be all that great, then I will do English Literature and Language(requirements AAA).
I also forgot to add that I plan to learn programming(self-taught, at home) during the summer holidays, in A2, and maybe during Uni if I have the time. I'd like to have learnt at least Python and Java by the end of A2.
Thank you, Odin(?)King of Asgaard said:Right now I'm finishing my A'Levels (I had to repeat a year) and I want to get into university to study Psychology.
I don't plan on working until the course requires it so that I can focus on mytons of gamesstudies.I was in the same boat last year. Good luck for your exams, mate. I know better than some how brutal they can be.
I thought about it but it takes away some of the discussion value. It is surprising how few people have surprised from the employment side of things. Im holding the fort on my own heremitchell271 said:Poll maybe?
You'd be surprised how many have asked me *insert the Hound voice* 'What the fuck's an Asgaard?' (though not on this site, thankfully), so someone else getting the reference always puts a smile on my face.Akichi Daikashima said:Thank you, Odin(?)King of Asgaard said:Right now I'm finishing my A'Levels (I had to repeat a year) and I want to get into university to study Psychology.
