Actually, a lot. My gamertag is my online identity, I use it everywhere I can, and it's almost NEVER used (Unless I forget about a password)

It says something about the person who plays. If someone wants to judge someone else based on their tag, I can't blame them. But to be honest I was like 14 when I came up with my gamertag, and I bet a lot of people have changed since making their tag.

I'm safe in my superiority. If people starts to make fun of my gamertag, it's usually because they lost. At least I don't have a single 'x' in my tag.

Not at all. Then again i don't play games where angry idiots yell stuff at other angry people. I get enough angry people outside of gaming world to have to deal with those in games. One of reasons i never got myself a headset.

Oh and pretty much every game i use different tag because i choose screen names depending on mood and game setting, but im a PC gamer, i'm not bound by silly idea of having single tag for everything i play.

< It's always this. Because it's an awesome name.

No one insults it because the only thing they could do is make "Dark" into "Dork", and they know as well as I how bad of an insult that is.

More people than I thought pronounce it as East ON Dark though (like an on/off switch). No, the on is not pronounced like that. On is said in, got it? No? Just gonna keep calling me that? *Sigh*

Ummm...heh. Can't really break from the pressure of idiots. No microphone/headset. No gamertag. No X-Box.

The Apothecarry said:
I've had people insult my gamertag before. It's nothing new. "DeltaSpartan5" isn't the most creative tag on Xbox Live, but I don't really care. Not until people start insinuating that my gamertag makes me bad at a game.

I remember a 2v2 game of Gears of War where the two guys on the other team started making fun of my tag. They didn't call it stupid. They told me "You suck!" and "Look at his tag, dude! You should go back to Halo, fag!" Next thing they know, I'm giving them an overdose of chainsaw-to-the-back. I think I went a little berserk during that match.

So what's your breaking point? At what point do the insults start to sink in?
Noob spartan GTFO AWAY!
They should know better than to insult someone in a game in which they can take revenge really.
But yea as long as my tag isn't fugly it's fine.(the tags Microsoft gives are horrible)

As a matter of fact I do care about my gamertag. Took me some time to come up with one that I really liked though. In my mind, a gamertag you represent your real name in some way (initials, backwards, combination, anagram, etc.).

My gamertag is MeTx - where MET is my full name's initials (which I first used in what is now my username). The change of caps and the 'x' is just for stylizing. :)

I am fairly proud of my gamer-tag, due to the fact that it does not have any extraneous 'x's in it as well (there is a necessary 'x' due to the word fox, however). I've always tried to use my GT and have never gotten hassled for it.

GOING2KILLU- People always say the same thing, "Hey man are you going to kill me?" Yes. Yes I am, it's in my damn name.

I like my gamertag, but i'm not in love with it. I've had it for 8 years which means I made it back when I was 13-14ish. At the time I just wanted to play, so I didn't think for hours trying to get the best name.

I generally play shooting games and I generally kill a lot of people, so it works.

TheGubbinsGeg.

All my mates had the prefix of "thegubbins", however I soon came to hate my name. Its just so ugly. "ubb" is a horrible sound.

Mine has been made fun of once but it was nothing original. It was just some kids going "JJ Dragon18 DAT r TEH GAeS LOL."

I don't really like my gt, but I don't hate it enough to spend the points to change it.

My gamertag is also my username - Greatjusticeman.

I'm pretty proud of it, and use it for nearly everything. I'm a frequent forum browser, and somehow, it's always avalaible. I didn't even think it was that original...

I get a lot of funny comments when I play online, haven't had anyone twist it into something bad yet.

Teh Beveryman?

I like my GamerTag.

It's fun. Also there was one day that some guy called me a noob for not having an original one (Yes, because iTZ OPTIKKZ 484 [or some bullshit like that] is SOOOO ORIGINAL).

So I challenged him to a 1v1 on Call of Duty and I murdered him over and over and over again.

That was fun.

Well the only people who have insulted my tag are people who get angry from a match because they usually lost (this happened alot in gears 2)

anyways I'll probably change it after I get back online, but once you see my gamertag, you'll hopefully get the joke of whats to poke fun at :D

Its Ordinaryundone, same as on here.

And I freaking love it. Especially funny when people can't pronounce it correctly, so I get called "Ordinary" a lot. Which, honestly, is fine. I like the ring of it.
