counting downloaded games and add ons?...mabey $500 a year. i mostly buy used games so my spending is lower than it should be considerig how much i game.
SO much that if I counted I would probably hate myself. And feel like the biggest nerd in the world. And possibly spend less, and we cant have that now can we?
I'd use to spend about 200-300 AU$ and get about three games. But ever since Steam that 300$ can get me like ten to thirty games depending on when I buy them.
That $60 can be anything from 1 new title to a few used games. I can't afford to be spending money that I don't have on the things I don't need. Kinda sucky.
For myself? MAYBE 50$ a year... for the kids in my house? Hrm.. about 500-1000 dependent on how good the year was.
EDIT: While 50$ for myself is normally high, I did splurge on myself back in febuary and spent 100$ to get...

Seriously best 100$ I ever spent, as I have used it on average 3 hours a day every day, since the day I got it.
it's funny, as a kid I wanted more money to buy better games, but now I can spend money, nothing catches my eye, I've been revisiting old classics, so about £70 this past year
Do old games count, because it's been awhile since I bought anything new. I'm even planning to get a PS3 to play some PS2 games I had missed out on, and there is a lot I missed out on.
Around $500. This year, I've spent well over $600 because of my PS3, SoulSilver, Bad Company 2, my $100 BioShock 2 Collector's Edition, inFamous, Resistance, Force Unleashed, and a ton more... I can't even count...
No idea about yearly averages, but since Jan 10 my purchases have been around
£1290 in straight purchases
£125 in digital downloads
£95 on XBLA
£75 PSN
£115 PSP imports
Thats a rough total of £1700 or $2642 give or take a few $s
