Losing your corporeal body, to be stuck with fellow minds for the rest of time?
Sounds unbearable, although I guess these minds would integrate over time to form a thinking unit of sorts, and you'd just take on the same function as a single cell in a human brain.

The GOOD Immortality:
The kind that protects you from everything but the passing of time. Death by old age. It's suitable and most likely painless. What we should be asking is, what is the price of INVINCIBILITY? I'll leave that question to the Escapists.

EDIT: Invulnerability was mentioned above. Yeah, let's go with that one, too.

The BAD Immortality:
The kind that lets you live forever and ever and ever. And ever. Even if you have people to share it with, you'll either grow apart, or be forcefully seperated when our sun goes supernova and creates some huge explosion that sends you barreling through outer space from years to come. I don't even know if that's accurate, BUT IT COULD HAPPEN.

For that to happen you'd need to be invincible and immortal.

To be honest immortality is not very appealing to me anyway. You get to watch all of your family and loved ones pass away.
Wouldn't that happen anyway?

But yes, I would love being an immortal, just not the hive mind kind.
I agree.

Depending on your level of sanity and vanity, it changes. I think it's priceless, by that I mean should not ever be worth anything. It's horrible.

I wouldn't mind being immortal, what little family I have I'm rather detached from anyway. Growing old and watching them fade away would phase me I'm sure, but it wouldn't be long lasting.

As long as I'm not the hive mind status I wouldn't mind it anyway, being one with everyone around would completely blow.

It's so cliche to say that you don't want to be immortal because you have to watch everybody you care about die. It may be true, but quote it from somewhere else. Otherwise it seems like you're pretending you came up with it first.
...sorry about that.
Immortality would be awesome, but in some situations death is your only escape. What if you get buried underground, or stuck somewhere? You're there forever. Immortality needs to come with an off-switch.
