Greetings!

I have to admit that I can be quite a fanboy. I'm mostly keeping the hype to myself (i.e. I'm not running around telling everyone they should get certain games), but I would buy a new Phoenix Wright, Ratchet & Clank, Thief or Sly Cooper game no matter how it's recieved by the rest of the gaming community.

So... how's your game preference? Any franchise you absolutely love?

I will, inevitably, end up getting a PS3 or an Xbox one day just so I can play the new Final Fantasy. It's apalling in a lot of ways, but that's how it is. I am Squeenix's chew toy.

I think I'm an Overlord fan boy, I just went straight up and bought the second game, no looking at reviews or anything.

Also, STALKER.
Buying CoP right now!

I love me some Half-Life, I really do. If I had to pick my 'top 5 games of all time' at least three of them would be Valve games.

Having said that, I know they aren't for everyone and I do my best not to fanboy lash-out and people who diss them.

Did you (Eternal Darkness) happen to read any posts (Eternal Darkness) about survival (Eternal Darkness) Horror (Eternal Darkness) or Game(Eternal Darkness)Cube games?

That and I've been taking a primer in D'ni.

Thankfully, what I'm a fanboy over likely won't have anything new in sometime around forever and a half. So I don't have to be too annoying. (Eternal Darkness).

There's a fanboy in everyone, you only need the right stimuli to draw it out.

Mine are probably Team Ico and God of War.

Even with the decline in quality of their games, I can't stop myself from being square enix's *****. I even went as far as playing FFXI for a few mos.

I'm not so much a fanatic of any game series (Well, maybe Golden Sun, that was good), so much as a fanatic for certain authors/book, and certain animes.
I find it hard to become a fanatic about a game/game series.

I don't think I'm a 'fanboy' of anything... However, I am a large fan of Apple and Sony products. They just seem to have such style and ability...

I'm quite the Bioware fanboy. I defend (most of) their games to the death in any conversation.

I'm a die hard bioware fanboy as well, as I have yet to not enjoy anything they put out.

Also, I get a wee bit giddy (read: excessively freakin excited) at the mention of Firefly, Bruce Campbell, Clint Eastwood, Neil Gaiman, or Douglas Adams.

Just don't mouth off Bruce Campbell, and I'm fine.
The chin was terrible in Maniac Cop. And I hated My Name Is Bruce! What are you gonna do about it?

Or Paradox games.
I... I... I didn't think there was any others of us left.
Europa Universalis! Hearts Of Iron! Victoria! Crusader Kings!

IT'S ALL SO BEAUTIFUL!
Crusader Kings got me hooked on their work. Shortly after playing it, I found a boxed set with EU2, HoI, Victoria, and more. Victoria I didn't enjoy simply because it was a glitchy little bugger on Win 2K.

And now all my Paradox discs have been destroyed in a flood. :(

I still have fond memories of smashing every single Pagan in CK as the Croatians. With my King being a 12 year old boy. (Then my nephew turned traitor on me. Grr.)
