Look, that isn't fair. You have people who are downright rude about it, and then you have people who have reasonable reasons for themselves or that many share in. And there are points in between. Some games turn people off. Don't just call people snobs all willy-nilly.

Not embarrassed by, but I dislike those gamers who like to make demands of developers like their petulant whinging matters a damn.
i dislike this ^ kind of gamer

please see video game
comic books
movies
novels
and just about every other form of entertainment where fan outcry or input has worked, pessimism on that level gets you nowhere
and trust me, communicating how you feel about a product that you pruchace, it works more than you know

also i do not like gamers who use lets use 50:cent blood in the sand for example. they use their hatred of rap music, and the culture as gateway racism. if you don't like 50 cent blood in the sand fine, if you don't like fiddy fine, but when you making fun of someones accent like say a black guy from the New York, or the way he speaks, and out right saying its wrong not even knowing why he speaks that way, or denouncing rap music as a genera and calling its practitioners degenerate monkeys, or just hating on clothing, or saying that this guy is acting too black.

that's not disliking a game , that's disliking a culture. don't put your hatred(in ability to understand) of a whole culture in your video game review.
You can be critical without being a little brat arse hole. This is where allot of "Gamers" have issues. They either lack the social skills needed to convey their message or simply have too much of an ego to be modest and level headed enough to present an argument.

I don't play any sports games (except that one quidditch one for the Gameboy Advance, that was good) and I wish the main body of gamers didn't exist. The ones that will buy anything and are not worried about character development, plot, price, any of that.

i dont understand i basically said i believe your wrong here are some broad examples, i can go into depth if you wish, i generally dislike gamers who think that way. not really being an ass, just argument presentation

next, didn't you just present your argument cynically implying that all gamers complaints as consumers are whining and they should stop

that's asshole statement of the year, you denying they right to complain about a product as a consumer,
I'm not denying anybody anything.

My comment is aimed at those who feel the need to do this;

"WTF!?:
Why the hell doesn't this game have XYZ from ABC Game?"

Or

"It's been a whole day now. Why the fuck isn't there a patch to fix this problem I'm having!?."

As opposed to, I dunno;

"Hey, I'm having XYZ problem. Is there a fix for this? Is this a problem with the game, or is the problem on my end?".

THAT is what I have a problem with.

For me its probably online shooters. Not necessarily the games themselves, more the community, I just don't like the way people behave towards each other, its just nasty. Its only a game after all. The language they use can barely be considered English except for the swearing. It doesn't help that a lot of players are in their teens (Either physically or mentally) and I am an older gamer. I just don't have time for their bullshit. Its why a lot of the time I stick to single player games, games are a form of escapism and I don't need some douche bag spoiling for me.

Note: I'm not dissing the entire online FPS community, just that sector. Anyone who has played an online shooter knows the kind of players I'm talking about.
you should check out Battlefield. It's honest to God the best gaming community I've ever been apart of. I swear half the servers don't allow swearing - some don't even give a warning they just out right ban you.
If they ban casual swearing like when someone is trying to discuss a point and lets a swear slip, I find that overly harsh

I think gaming died in 1994 and the anti-Christ that killed it was Playstation. Does that make me a snob?

People who say the only games they play are COD simply because they know they like them.

o_O what? Try some other games and genres, you might surprise yourself. Finding out is half the fun.
