I'm pretty open minded, there are a couple things though. I don't play sports games, but not because I'm too snobby for them, I just really don't enjoy them. I do have several groups of gamers I hate though.
Group 1. Casual Gamers. I don't hate when they keep to themselves, the get quite a bit of bile out of me when they act like casual games are the only thing in gaming.
Group 2. Graphic Whores. You know those guys, the ones that hate old games because they don't look as good as Crysis, or the ones who say Minecraft is crap because of its "bad" graphics. Yes its in 16 bit, but the art is quite good, so you've sort of already lost half your argument, also, you're a douche bag.
Group 3. The Queers. No I don't hate gaymers, that is a name I have for a group of people that have spawned because of COD:Blops2 I have heard countless people tell me that Blops 2 looks "gay" because its set in the future. Forget the fact that Treyarch is moving farther forward in series than they ever have before, forget the fact that it actually looks marginally different, forget the fact that you've bought every single COD game before this one. It looks "gay" because there's robots, actually, that doesn't even matter, you aren't going to buy a game you know NOTHING about because YOU DON'T LIKE THAT ITS IN THE FUTURE. YOU HAVEN'T EVEN GIVEN IT A CHANCE TO WIN YOU OVER, YOU ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO BUY ANY GAMES SET IN THE FUTURE. ASGKAJBCEYOIVACYAEC-*technical difficulties*
*ahem* Group 4. The CODfags. Now, I don't normally hate COD, in fact, quite often I will defend it again the waves of pretentious people who act like its ruining the industry. These people make me want to reconsider all of that. But rather than describing these people, I'll just give you some examples.
Ex. 1 Having a conversation on Facebook about Blops2 finally not being another 60$ map pack, and yet no one will buy it because people are sick of 60$ map packs. Guy chimes in and says that Blops 2 will bomb because its too different. Me and another guy jump on his case, and his Q.E.D. is that "sometimes, I'd rather pay for a 60$ map pack than have a game different than the last one" Yea...COD may not be ruining the industry, but its definitely ruining the people who play it.
Ex. 2 I know this one avid COD fan, (quickscopes, watches replays, post his killstreaks on youtube, the whole 9 yards) and I attempt to broaden his horizons by introducing him to Team Fortress 2. He plays it a few times, comes back to me, and says "its basically an outdated game full of overpowered weapons that's hard to play".... You know what COD, fuck you, you've gone too far, we aren't friends anymore.
