For me it's pretty much all the time I'm not spending on college projects, reading, and sleeping. So roughly 70-80%.

90% of my spare time. When I'm alone video games and things related to them (forums youtube videos) are my preffered method of entertainment and when I'm with my friends we usually play games. I do read sometimes and depending how busy I am with school I may not play at all for a while, but on days off I can spend the whole day doing things related to video games.

not a whole lot comparatively

in that while I still love games I've gravitated towards other interests, which I think is a good thing [sub/]especially looking at that *thing* that's been going on over the past months...yeesh[/sub]

I think it averages out to 30 minutes per day. Its important to have healthy relationship with gaming and I think I do fairly good enough job.

On my workdays I typically only get an hour or two to play games. On my days off I usually play for at least 3 hours. When I was younger I would play games all day.

I'd say I spend a good third of my life in all honesty. Gaming is a big part of who I am. This may be a mostly gaming affiliated website, but there's bound to be some variation, so, with that in mind, how much do you let gaming take up your life?

EDIT: Anything that has to do with video games goes, so talking about them, cuddling with them, or just playing them are all fair game to include in the time you spend on video games in your daily life.
After the combination of work, college, and time spent with my better half I can safely say I put around 10-15 hours a week in gaming. Not near as much as I used too but still allows me to maintain my skill level.

I spend almost all of my spare time doing things that are either video game or anime related. Video games make up most of my life, and they've influenced me to the point where I can say that my main interests (i.e. computers and programming) and my current career path (computer/software engineering) were inspired by my interest in gaming and solving problems.

Rather a lot in all honesty, or should I say most of my free time. I am a full time college student, and I have a part time job that goes from Monday to Friday. In most of my free time I either recording and editing videos for my LPs, or I'm playing games for free time.

My parents have told me to join a club on campus, but in my case the meetings for the kinds of clubs I like are late at about 5 or 6 pm, and by that point I'd have been on campus for over 12 to 15 hours and I just want to go home. I've also gone to some of the parties the campus has, and those didn't go to well. I'd go to the movies more, but movie tickets where I live are rather expensive. In terms of how many hours a week I game, it's definitely more than 20 hours a week. So really games are pretty much my main recreation, although I've started to read manga and watch anime again.

Far too fucking much.

So I'm cutting down.

There are more fulfilling things I could be doing.

I only play games about three to four hours a week which is about all I've ever spent even when I had more free time. Gaming videos and let's plays I spend a couple of more hours a week watching.

Gotta get in about 1-2 hours a day at least, minimum~ And that's just these days. I used to do it a lot more, but I don't console game as much as I used to, and portable gaming in any place other than outside my apartment or in my bed at night feels really weird. So, PC gaming tends to fill the blanks until that time

Most of my life is about gaming really. Whenever I can do things by myself, I check gaming site(s)[footnote]well, the escapist usually. I'm too easily set in my ways to change.[/footnote], videos about games or LPs, like jesse cox's, sometimes game grumps if I'm bored.[footnote]they can get quite obnoxious, especially arin...[/footnote]Other times, playing the games. The ones I like tend to take a long time. Etrian odyssey, SMTIV, persona Q on the horizon as well as valkyria chronicles on PC, then there's monster hunter and DW8:empires to look forward to... Tis a busy time for gamers, that's for sure. Though I have to say, I'm playing more japanese developed games than anything else.

Define "games", because while I only play a couple hours of videogames a week I play a whole lot of boardgames and Magic the Gathering. I'm out too often to really play videogames for long times.

News and comparable information I still keep up with, mostly what I see here on The Escapist and various YouTube channels, notably TotalBiscuit and GameGrumps, I listen to/watch while I'm studying.

Eh, it varies. At the minute I seem to be on here most days and I'm playing Shin Megami Tensei IV so there's a lot of gaming in my life. I spend far, far more time and money on music than games in general, though.

Unfortunately, not enough :(

I love gaming, I prefer it over everything else. TV, listening to music, making music, business things...if I could get away with just gaming, I totally would.

But life takes over - and it isn't the same for everyone. I have very limited free time so I only get to chill with a controller for a few hours a week. The wife, job and future baby take priority. B-----ds.

lol, jk.

Probably too much if I'm to be honest. And not just video games. Tabletops or watching other people play games(though this is more for background noise or the players bouncing off each other more than the games) also takes up a good amount of my time but let's give the other media a quick look.

TV - I find very little to watch on tv these days. Most my tv veiwing is either reruns that get played near 24 hour loops these days or the rare time when a channel plays something good(Looking at you History Channel).

Music - Yeah haven't heard any good bands or singers lately.

Movies - Like TV, few and far between catches my eye these days. And the tickets are pretty hefty these days.

Books - Tried finding some books or a series but nothing has seemed to click. Still pick up some of my favorites from time to time but nothing new.

So yeah, games seem to be the form of media I keep coming back to. So I probably devote too much of my life to games but other relaxation media forms don't do it for me these days anyway.
