How much violence/gore can you handle from a video game, TV show, anime and etc?

I don't mind violence/gore in any media as long as it isn't doing so just for the sake of having violence/gore.
There is one exception though. Someone at college showed me a video of the single most horrible thing I have ever seen. It was a video of 4 guys pissing of a pig while it was running around trying to knock them down. Then one of the bigger guys managed to wrestle the pig to the floor and hold it in place while another came in with a chainsaw and cut the pigs head clean off. They held up the head, laughing and pointing as its body was still flailing about while blood/pulp was flowing out of its stump.
