The perfect system is at a reasonable price, or it can never be considered perfect.

(And don't tell me about what's cost-effective or not. It can't be perfect if people can't afford it.)

A systems price doesn't guaruntee quality. How much did the Sega CD cost? the 32x? The Atari Jaguar? The Neo Geo? Did the prices have any effect on the quality of system? If I paid five or five hundred dollars the systems would be the same, Price doesn't affect how good or bad a system is, but it can be indicitive.

Nope! Perfect means perfect. I will not mince words here, folks. If you wanna use the P-word, you'd better mean no flaws, which incidentally includes availablilty of product and ability to obtain by reasonable means. Otherwise, I am paying top dollar for a VERY GOOD system.

Eh, $300 bucks. That's cheap for a runaway economy. Understand, I love the PS3 and all, but $500 was really nuts. I think we can agree that setting the bar lower than that is reasonable for people nowadays.

yeah seriously the perfect game system would have to do everything perfect including: be able to replicate its self and anything else through some sort of energy to mater conversion and run on the energy of the vacuum(since any other way would bankrupt a small country just turning it on), use some sort of worm hole tech to transmit data between times and probably parallel dimensions and since it can do that also act as a transportation device, be small enough to be portable or be a bit larger and have some sort of anti grav ability, and all while having a dedicated ai designed to make you happy.

all in all the price for a system like this would be some where around all the money in the world x1000000 for the first one and the rest would be free

If it is perfect, I think it would be something different for everyone. So the real question is, what is your perfect, and how much would you pay for it. Me, holodeck (with the full star trek functionality) that did not require a warp drive worth of power to keep powered, and for that I would pay $6000, which is every spare, nonspent cent I make in a year.

The game-makers also matter.
Would it be a Nintendo console? I think my favorite games are all Nintendo, so how about this one?
If in my opinion, a perfect game console would be by Nintendo, and have Rare with the N64-era team back, as well as Gunpei Yokoi working with it, wouldn't it be impossible?
