How often do you change your avatar?

I've never changed my avatar. The ox is going to stay where he is for as long as I visit this website.
rarely. i'll only ever change my avatar if circumstances demand it, and that doesn't happen too often.
Interesting timing - just changed yesterday, as I wanted something a little shinier than my previous 'I'm not much to look at, but I'm a pro at pretending to be a ninja' text dump.
On things like facebook I change when there's a new good picture of me, but on here I was trying to keep things permanent so I could begin to be recognised around the place. Sigh, let's try getting this avatar noticed anyway!

Not often. I just changed from my Vagitargoth [http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/vv61/bigbob91/Vagitargoth-1.gif] to this one after I made it about a month ago because I was getting inboxed a lot about the old one (mostly good inbox messages which I didn't mind, but I had some negative ones too).
Anyway, I plan on keeping this one for a while. IT'S SO CUTE!

I change it every so often. I've got a couple put aside for special occasions, and a couple "whenever I feel like it" versions. It's always the Waffle though, I'm not in the Immutable Individuals group (aka: the "we never change our avatars" group) for nothing, you know! 
Once I set an avatar, I don't change it. This one has been my FB profile picture from the beginning for example.
mine is MONTHS old at this point, and only changed it cause they changed the character design.

I have changed my avatar precisely once, and that was from nothing to The Great and Powerful avatar I have now. I don't intend to ever change it, and judging by how steadfastly I've stuck with other similar things, I doubt I ever will (I've had this same login everywhere I go since very the first time I ever got to pick the username for myself).
I change my avatar whenever i see one that i like better, or if i'm in the mood for a new one. Currently i'm thinking of making another, but i like this current one so far.
I think I'll stick to the theme of psychedelic glasses with my future avatars, I've had this one for months I think.
I know how to put pictures on my posts that are on the Internet, but not sure how to get them from a local folder. Otherwise I would post my previous avatars.
