Whenever I can.

IN the morning on the bread, lunch on the bread, and at dinner a good healthy chunk o' protein :p
Are you trying to make me go insane with the bread here bread there thing? What I wouldn't give for a giant hotroll about now..
It's typical breakfast & lunch over here in the Netherlands. WE don't have the 23048 types of cereal over here or anything else really. Our bread is your cereal :p (at least in my family, can't vouch for the other 2039482309 families)
I can't have cereal either, or milk. I love breads, but they make my face, hands and feet go numb then I pass out, so I am out of luck. :(
Totally worth it for a bowl of cornflakes.
Yea I have put myself through hell to just have a fresh hot roll. You have no idea how bad custom prescription weight gainer liquid diets taste.

Blows :(

At least you can eat meat right? XD
Yes, at least I have my lean red meat. If I didn't have that I might just freak out and eat everything that will kill me all at once and get it over with.

Okay so I read somewhere that us
Australians eat the most meat in the world. Or something like that.

So I'm curious escapists. Do you eat meat daily? I'd assume most would. I usually have meat for lunch and dinner most days.

Inb4 I don't eat meat I'm a vegetarian.
Of course you're a vegetarian, otherwise you wouldn't ask that question. You ask it so you can scold people for eating "too much" meat, right? You plantkiller.

OT: I eat meat, not daily, but several times a week. I enjoy it very much, and if it wasn't good for me, it wouldn't taste that good. My favorites are things such as sirloin steaks and tender loins, lambchops and chicken breasts. I also enjoy seafood such as salmon, tuna, lobster, shrimp, scampi, and scallops.

So there!

I'm a Vegan,, so no havent eaten any meat in about 6 years...
In Ireland (where I'm from) I'd say most people eat meat most days.. In a recent ESRI confrence, it was noted that only 5% of Irish people eat meat only infrequently (as opposed to about 4-8% Vegetarian/Vegans..)
I know that in the same ESRI confrence it was noted that in the UK about 23% are classed as 'infrequent meat eaters' (about 5-8% veggies..)

=>I'd wager the reason for the major difference in the infrequent meat consumption is because Ireland has a long agriculturalr history of meat & dairy poduction, and people are still quite ingraned in this lifestyle. Whereas in the UK, there's a large portion of people from India, Pakistan and other places, where the consumption of meat is eithire rare, or simply not done.. Obviously this will have a cultural impact on the UK populace in terms of their food consumption
(also, UK has paul mcCartney & his Viva! people etc.. run alot of campagins trying to get people to consume less meat..)

Its an interesting thing to look at, nice thread :)

Australian: New South Wales: Male: Aged 18 - 25:
Quoted saying - "Only 2 meals have the privilege to not have meat. Desert and Breakfast. And Breakfast better have a good excuse."

OT: I love meat. White or Red, Lean or Lovely, Strips or Steaks, Legs or Wings. If I can kill it by golly will find some sort of edible part of it.

I cou...would never ... ever become a vegetarian. I could go Organic Only... What's more organic then killing your own meat. Nothing I tell you.

I will eat at least 1 serving of meat a day. I will have Veges but Meat is the main, the veg is filler.

Welcome to Australia where the only way to survive is eat it before it eats you.

Ever tried kangaroo ... Delicious.. and whilst cute ... deadly.

Speaking if which ... Anyone know a good recipe with Johnson Crocodile or Funnel Web Spider?

Yup, every day. It's getting a bit problematic though. I've started going to the gym again in an attempt to bulk up, and the amount of protein I'm supposed to be eating (300g a day) is just insane. It's the equivalent of just under 1.5kg of beef every day! I don't have either the funds or stomach capacity for such an amount of pure animal flesh...
Protein powder. Chicken too.

OT: As much as possible. Use to be more often, I occasionally go a day without now that I'm a student.

Sweden,
Usually 2 meals of meat per day, unless I'm eating only carbohydrates for lunch, then I only eat meat for dinner.

Have you thought about non-meat sources of protein? There's plenty of food rich in protein that isn't meat: milk, soy milk, eggs, various beans, broccoli, oats, cheese, quinoa, yoghurt, nuts, legumes, and I there are probably some I'm not thinking of. There are a diverse amount of recipes for these things too. If you eat those things throughout the day you won't have a problem meeting protein requirements.
Yeah, I've been eating a lot of porridge, yoghurt, cottage cheese and other dairy, drinking lots of milk, eating nuts etc. The problem I'm finding is that most of these sources are things that either contain a max of around 12% protein, or are things you just can't eat very much of. I'm finding getting the balance right very difficult.

Okay, I'm sorry, but are you absolutely positive you need that much? "Bulking Up" and "eating as if you were a professional bodybuilder" are two completely different things. Even if you're an intense athlete, the most protein you'd really need (that your body would actually be able to use) would be about 2.5 grams per kilogram of body weight. So, if you weigh 300 pounds, then okay, my bad. Otherwise, you are totally overdoing it, and your body is more likely than not going to end up converting that excess protein into fat.
To be honest with you, no, I'm not positive. It's what I was told by a health trainer that calculated it for me. To be honest with you I haven't even been approaching 300g a day, most times I'm getting 150g a day, maybe 200g on a good/training day.

And no, I'm certainly not an intense athlete! I used to be in not-bad shape around 4 years ago, but then I had a bout of mental illness and dropped weight drastically. I'm now around 168lbs and 6'2", quite an increase over what I was. My target weight is around 190lbs for now.

+1 I usually have a balance of red and white meat, its almost impossible to get the daily protein amounts unless you can constantly graze on protein and I can't afford to stack weight gainers 2x a day.
If I don't eat beef one day I would usually have Tuna or Salmon, I'm not a meat addict, but I do enjoy a good steak or lean chicken breast.
The problem I'm having is the prohibitive expense. I'm currently unemployed and the budget is tight (and looks set to get even tighter). I bought some protein bars the other day but only because they were MASSIVELY reduced. All my supplements I have bought in clearance sales or from friends who tried but didn't like them.

I'm trying to eat more tinned fish, due to the relative availability of it at bargain prices now. Chicken breasts are currently a no-no, as they're so fucking expensive now you can actually buy steak cheaper!
