How people Butcher your name

Two different ones here.

My last name is Bushey (Boo-shay), and yes, it's French. Most people in Europe have no problem pronouncing it. However, we as Americans can't seem to. They pronounce it as "Bushy", as in "A bushy tail".

The other one is my online name, DrkTr14ce. I get asked what the **** it's supposed to me, and people tend to pronounce it as "Drk TriAce" most of the time, because they think it's just all L33t stuff.

It's Dark Triforce. The "4" is Phonetical. You know, like how they did with "Left 4 Dead"? Only difference is that I made this name years before that game, so no relations there.

Glad I got those out of the way.

but damn-near EVERYONE gets my surname wrong... (Potentier. Good luck with that)

one person even got my first name wrong once. Seriously who reads "Luke" as "Lune" ?!

When Chizz was my regular-use name, I used to get so many jokes relating to a... certain bodily function... men do...yeah, that one...
One of the main reasons I changed my name. The worst I can get with FreelanceButler is probably the odd butt joke, which I've managed to avoid so far.

As for my real name, I think it'd be difficult to mispronounce Chris.
People used to forget the "h" when spelling it, but that was years ago, at primary school kind of age.

I have been called everything from "Nicholas" to "Michael" to, I kid you not, "My colas (like the soft drink)." All of these were honest attempts to pronounce my name. believe it or not, that last one was from my old assisstant principal.

Well, my real name is Tanzi (Tan-zee), and I've been called Daisy, Tansy, Pansy, and most things that rhyme with it.
My last name causes havoc too, because it starts with the name of a farm animal (you'll never make me tell you!), and people are rather reluctant to say it, so they break it up oddly (like if instead of ponycroft, they said po-nycr-oft).
It's difficult to explain, but it's infuriating.

My last name gives people online trouble though cuz it's a really norwegian name so none of the people in real life gets it wrong.

In real life, my name is Raymond, but people idiotically call me Raymin or Raymend.

That is, of course, why I just go by Ray, because it's very hard to screw up and so far no one has.

Well, my gamertag is Necator15, and I really don't know how to pronounce that, so I just go with Neh-Ka-Tor, but I'm fine with people saying nectar. It's just easier.

My last name, everybody pronounces right, but nobody (And I mean goddamned nobody) can ever spell it right. They hear it go "Oh! That sounds Scottish, so I'll spell it in a stereotypical Scottish fashion" Which is wrong because it's from Russia. Just sounds a bit Scottish.
(The sad part is when people screw it up after it's spelled for them )

A fun story, I ordered pizza with a friend a bit back, and we used her last name. They spelled it cuchie (Nowhere near right, rhymes with her last name though.) We spent a while laughing about it. (It was even funnier since her mum's maiden name is Cox, I shit you not.)

People often manage to mess up my name in the most obvious ways. It's spelled 'Wesley', but I've seen:
