I had a friend who's last name is Urbaniak (its Polish). And he had people calling him Urbanak, Urbanaiak, Urban yak, Urbanyaker, and my favourite Urbaniniaker.

This is my fault, as I chose a silly way to spell it, but "Yarkaz" is really pronounced more like "Yarkoz." Of course nobody figures that out instantly, so it gets mispronounced A LOT. Also, my last name is ******* and people always tend to say ******* or *******. That really bothers me, 'cause it's pretty darn obvious that it's pronounced *******.

This is bringing back memories. My 4th grade English teacher accidentally called me Kardel. My real name is Karyl. Notice any difference? Yea, it's sad. My name has been mispronounced in a variety of ways. Kariel, Kariol, Kareel(with an emphasis on the eel part). I'm sure there's more, but I don't remember. I think the one that has stuck the most has been the one instance my last name was butchered. My last name is Quesada-Silman. One of my teachers mispronounced it Quesadilla...A nickname was born.

how the hell do they think i made a mistake so great?
nobody really makes a mistake with my actual name...
although i did know someone with the Steam name Dingo-J(Ding-go-Jay) that people would combine into Dingoj(ding-ojay)

My name is Logan Nicks. Teachers and administrators call me Nick because it my last name is similar to it, and it shows up before my first name on attendance lists.

In real life I always introduce myself as "Ant", Brits tend to always want it to be "Andy", Europeans tend to get it right after questioning it and Americans can't seem to get their head around it "Err... Ant?" "Yes, Ant, A-N-T" "So, your name is Ant?" "YES!".

In WoW, my name is Lial or Léal, to which my European guild-mates delight in mispronouncing as "Lyle", and once caused a massive "ARRRRRRRGH, LEE AL, LEE AL, LEEEEEEEEE AALLLLLLLLL" on Vent.

On XBox Live, my tag is Ferrious. Which to Americans is ALWAYS "Ferrous". I am not an iron alloy, nor am I magnetic.

Tristan is my real name aswell as my user name, so it annoys me to no end when someone adds
an 'e' instead of an 'a' or pronounces it 'Twistan'

Stupid bloody relatives and internet people. it's not rocket science.

People just tend to write Tony, when it's spelt with an I, even though I'm a male.

Yes, just one of the many, MANY disadvantages of living in Spain...

Online, my name is Ruiner (Pronounced: Roo-in-er). Usually people call me Runner, and I'm not sure why. Maybe crappy TVs. One time someone called me Roon, and we all laughed at him, but it has stuck a bit.

In real life, my last name is Abraham, but all my life people have insisted on pronouncing it Abrams. WHERE THE HELL IS THE "S"?!?

sometimes in games people will comment on my name by saying "how can you be rotten AND awesome? :B" in attempt to make some weak joke. i wouldn't mind except that it clearly says ROTTINGAWESOME. this happens way more than you would think.

also when i was a young kid, people would always misspell my name as "even" instead of "Evan" (and always put a lowercase e too...)

it always baffled me that they thought my name was spelled like that when that's very clearly the fucking word "even" which is very VERY different from "Evan". Sometimes people will STILL do this to me or ask me how to spell my name and I lose more and more faith in humanity every time.
