How seriously do you take escapist users' opinions?

Unless the discussion involves Modern Warfare 2, I usually tend to take the thoughts of this forum into consideration.
When it comes to Modern Warfare 2, though...
Not to offend anybody, but, most of the site are PC gamers, and thus don't really like it.

I take them very lightly compared to the opinions of people that I know in real life instead of through a screen. However, I also treat other's opinions how I expect others to treat my opinion.

Unless its a personal attack towards me (which thankfully hasn't happened yet) I don't really care. That's not to say I don't dis-respect others opinions either.

I take other peoples opinions to heart so long as their case is presented well. I'll still hold my own opinion on the matter but if they give their opinion in a well informed manner I can tend to see their view.

So i'd say I take their opinions as seriously as I do in my day to day life.

OT:Well it depends on the person.Some people on here posts serious post because they are serious.Some make serious posts in a light hearted and sarcastic way.And some just post something.
I tend to take only few peoples opinions seriously.But that's because they mostly agree with me.

i dont take anything serious without proper argumentation...unless its so obvious i cant get around it. escapist users (are we called escapees?) are no difference

exceptions include opinions about: halo and half life 2 where the escapist folk are known for their hatred and fanboyism

bottom line: nobody cares XD

I take them fairly seriously. If I can understand your point, and it has some basis for being there, I'll consider it.

Pretty much the same as real life. If you're coherent, and make your points clearly and intelligently, I'll take them into account. If you're an asshole, I won't.

Granted, I do offer this place a bit more leeway then I would the rest of the internet, where, due to necessity, you're a fool until you prove yourself otherwise.

Pretty much this. I have very little tolerance for people who express their opinion in a dickish way.

I usually take them seriously. Not to the point of "HE SAID THIS, SO IT MUST BE TRUE!" but I generally respect people's opinions on here.
Just be wary of sarcasm. There's LOTS of sarcasm on here.
