Expanding on that, yes they are complete idiots and I have some questions like that as well...
Why has Ash been 10 years old for something like 10 years now? Why have Team Rocket not died or contracted cancer or something from all the times that they have exploded, been shocked, been torched, been frozen, etc.? Why is Brock not a vegetable after having his head smashed with noticeable force every time he sees a pretty girl? Why is Pikachu not the almighty electric god by now? Why do some of their pokemon never evolve? And finally why do magikarps evolve into Gyaradoses?
I rest my rant. I do like the games though.

Actually in one episode (forgot which season) they came back to the town where the bike got fried and Nurse Joy fixed up Misty's bike and she went back to her town to be the Gym leader of Cerulean City.

LOL same here, I just stopped playing pokemon after Gold and Silver since I realized Nintendo will always use the same formula (eg You get a starter pokemon and beat the Elite four)

Yea, but sometimes they throw in some berries to the mix, and then in the later games you actually got to blend them! Good times.

It was from a short comedy film called "Italian Spiderman". It's hilarious. Anyways, Ash is a douchemonster, so he can't be expected to get a new bike. Besides, Misty's been sleeping with Brock on the side, she doesn't deserve a new bike! Yeah.. I went there.

Pfft it still has the same formula it be way better if u know they let you carry on your profile unto the next pokemon game so you don't start from scratch and let you go to all the regions and beat all the gym leaders and all the elite fours each region has and have the option of having tag battles whenever you want and also throw in a pokemon league like in the show battling other trainers like a real tournament that would be awesome.
