I think that my most successful thread was about jugs and bags.

Milk jugs and milk bags of course. [sub]What were you thinking about?[/sub]

Overall though, most of my threads aren't very successful, which makes me sad...

So yeah , best way to make a sucessfull thread , is to ask a slightly contronversal , yet logically philosiphical question . How this helps .

Ummm not at all? Much like I suspect the threads most of us start seem to be?

Perhaps I am just tragically uncool. Now that I think about it, that is quite likely really.

They hit and miss. I make a lot threads. Think I might do another scenario thread, I remember doing one about a being trapped in a well and I got some good laughs out that one.

EDIT: Oh and the scary thread, over a year going on.

I usually get a page or two but sometimes I get a ton of responses. Highest I ever got was 15 pages and got 20,000 views.

They range from "Keeping Englishwomen as pets" (very successful)
to Whatever wrestling thread I make (they're tired of them)

I don't know how people know how many views their thread has gotten, but the most replies i've gotten have been around 30 or so, so it's nothing major.

I've only made like 3 or 4 threads since i joined anyways.

my threads all crash and burn, as I usually only ever think its a good idea when I am either /both drunk and sleep deprived to post up my own thread.

Terrible since only three of my topics were over the Hot Topic requirements. The rest of my topics at most just had over ten people posted on it.
I mean I would like to get the On Fire badge (10,000 views) but everytime when I think my topic would be sucessful, it turn out to be a total dud (I can't never have think in the same wavelength with the members if alot of them would post on it).

A little hit and miss.

Sometimes I'll post a thread and it will be dead in the water before it can even get a page worth of responses.

I suppose it really depends on the topic.
That's pretty much it for me...

I did one on the TW hybrid gameplay, got seven replies. Did one on flamethrowers, got seven pages of replies, which was pretty cool.

I'm rather iffy about starting threads, largely because I got flamed big-time by my first one. To be fair, it was in the basement, and the few I've put there since then were more cordial by way of response. Here, I think my 'language' thread is still kicking about.

Yea. Get 20+ replies in User Reviews and you'll be very happy. My topics outside the realm of User Reviews receive little to no attention. 3:
