Get small tampons and cram one of them up there, because let's be honest here...your nose is just a mini vagina (without all the hassles of douching and such)

Seriously, it's an injury that needs to clot and heal up the same as any other. Don't do anything to irritate the slight injury and all will be well. Breathe through mouth or lightly through nose and eventually it stops on its own.

Protip: if it doesn't stop bleeding, you've probably got bigger problems on your hands.

Well, the method I always used (albeit slightly gross method) when I had a lot of nosebleeds of a kid was to lean over the sink, plug the nostril that wasn't bleeding, and blow my nose. I guess you can use a tissue, but I think it's easier to just clean up the sink by running the water rather than cleaning up a blood spray when you accidentally blow a hole through the tissue.

Anyhow, usually I'd do this until a bloody snot would come out (told you it was gross) and then the nosebleed would be over. Or just until the bleeding stopped in general. Took about two minutes, I believe.

I once knew someone who was anemic (not sure of spelling, but it means he was a bleeder), anyway, his doctor told him the best way to stop a nose bleed is to wet a paper towell and fold it into a small rectangle that can fit in between your upper lip and gums. The blood vessels in the nose run up through that area and the towell slows the blood flow.

I cant help you, I have never had a problem with nose bleeds, In fact I don't know if I have ever just had a nose bleed. There was one time in the hospital they gave me too much blood thinner and my nose bled for 2 days straight, they pushed a camera up there to see what was wrong too! That was lots of fun.

Cold water on a washcloth and then throw that sucker on the back of your throat.... slows the blood flow to your head. Worked for my brother back in the day.

Both..they happen randomly to me, when the weather is dry. Which is most of the time.

They don`t happen to me anymore think it was stress as they used to happen around exam time ,try relaxing if not that then i`m afraid i`m of little assistance to you

Just shove a piece of tissue paper into your nose. It looks funny but it beats holding your head back and closing it with your hands for about 10 minutes.

Kind of roll it into a chunk and just shove it in. <- That's what she said LAWLZORS

Tilt your head back, and let the blood flow into your mouth. Then, go postal.

Or, if you happen to have 2 small tampons within 5 seconds, that works to. Side note: never use tampons for bullet wounds, they suck the blood, not just block and absorb it.
