to answer your question, Twin Snakes (the remake) makes snake out as a much more unstoppable badass then i remember in the original. plus (this might just be a problem with my copy) Psycho Mantis is a lot harder. You probably already know how to beat him. in the original, the "hideo" screen popped up every 20 seconds or so. in "Twin snakes" it only ever pops up 3 times, nowhere near enough to reduce all his health even on Easy mode... like i said, maybe my games just broken. plus, just switching it without the screens doesn't seem to work.LogicNProportion said:Now, to start off, I'd like to say that I am a massive fan of the Metal Gear Solid series! Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, being my favorite, with the newly released Peace Walker as runner up.
However, I have a horrible secret: I have never played the original Metal Gear Solid! Seeing as money is no object for now, though I would like to spend as little as possible, if possible.
Now, it has come to my attention that I can get the original Metal Gear Solid for the PS1 for roughly 8 bucks including S&H.
It has also come to my attention that I can get the updated remake, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, which is for the Gamecube, for 20 bucks.
So, which one should I get? I'm no graphics whore, and I can do without a few cut-scenes, but only if I get pretty much the same amount of info as without them. So, Escapees, which one shall I shell out the money for?
and you lucky begger, where have you been able to find this all so cheaply!? my friends been looking for copies of either games on the internet and can't find any prices under £50!
