Am I the only person that can listen to everything except for pop
You mean popular music? Because that's what pop is, popular. Or do you mean the shallow stuff that's on top 40 right now?
the shallow stuff on the top 40 right now back then they were pretty good now they're just annoying and too repetitive

Oh yes, my tastes are quite obscure and eclectic. I suck at naming music genres, so some of my favorite bands/artists are:

System of a Down
Korn
Scatman John
Lemon Demon
Daler Mehndi
Flogging Molly
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Billy Talent
Gnarls Barkley
Jonathon Coulton
Owl City
Tenacious D

And also whatever the hell this is:

the best music video in the world. :D

I'm mostly rooted in rock and it's variants, but I do like some other things. For example, industrial (mainly Skinny Puppy) is what I spend most of my days listening to these days. I also like Billie Holiday and The Ink Spots and a few other random guys, so I'd say I'm varied enough.

Well, i'll listen to pretty much everything that doesn't go off into sub-genres. I make exceptions for certain things.
for varied songs, here we go:

Long Live the Queen - Frank Turner
Children of the Grave - Black Sabbath
Thunder Road - Bruce Springsteen
Up On The Ridge - Dierks Bentley
That's Amore - Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin
A Talk With George - Jonathon Coulton
Shame of The Otaku - MC Frontalot
Down on the River by The Sugar Plant- Mike Doughty
The World Is New - Save Ferris
They Might Be Giants - They Might Be Giants
Factory Girls - Flogging Molly

I believe that covers about every Genre(except regular rap, and given more time i could come up with one i'm sure), and that was just from my "Recently Added" on iTunes.

I'd say it's pretty varied. I like everything from The Black Dahlia Murder to Eminem to The Beatles to Dead Kennedys to Lady Gaga to Massive Attack to Nine Inch Nails to Pantera. There are only a few genres I don't listen to.

The more variety, less dissonance, more heaviness, the better. No particular style.

My taste in music goes from christian rock like the exies(which is hard) to popy rock(fuel) but mostly i stick with metal(metallica megadeth) ocassionaly i'll go for some punk and emo but those are rare instances on my ipod. They actually have to a be good songs that don't sound like the same mindless i cut myself or i rebel against life.

However my guilty pleasures are really out there. Its stuff that i just listen to and i would never put it on my ipod... for fear of riddicule. Maroon5, a little bit of gym class heros, and Amy whinehouses first album was pretty good too.

I normally like electronic music (Trip-Hop, Ambient, and Downtempo mostly), but I do enjoy a lot of punk/post-punk and Indie rock bands and many hip-hop artist.

I listen to almost every genre. If I haven't found something in a genre I enjoy, it usually means I haven't looked hard enough.
When your library is 15GB large and includes reggaecore, Icelandic post-rock, Japanese death metal, rap-opera, chiptune and anti-folk I guess there's not much out there you're not willing to try anymore.

Not at the moment, but it changes alot.

I'm back into post-grunge right now, after a month-or-so-long span of electronica.
Not techno, electronica. Big difference.
THANK YOU, finally someone that knows that Electronica and Techno are not the same thing and are vastly different. My friend, you are full of win for that comment. Most people have NO clue.

Anyway, as you may have guessed, Electronica is my passion (House/Funk/Disco/Trance/HHC) however I still listen to a vast majority of other genres. except for Rap,Country,Metal,Grunge. Not a big fan of pop either, but there is still the odd song in there that's decent.

How varied is my taste in music? Quite varied. To be certain, I listen mainly to music you've never heard of before, but I'm not in love with obscurity for its own sake like obnoxious hipsters are; I simply enjoy good music, and most genres can at least manage to produce some examples of that (there are a couple of musical sub-genres that are inherently worthless and irredeemable, but those are the exception).

If you've heard of it though, the likelihood that it sucks is far greater - music that is well-known is either critically acclaimed for some reason (and could suck mightily or actually be good, critics aren't very representative of those portions of the populace who are not critics), really good and somehow broadly liked anyways, or it "possesses broad mainstream appeal", which is another way to say it sucks but people like it anyhow because people are stupid and like crap. Obscure music might be obscure because it isn't any good, or because the public is simply unaware of it - either way though it hasn't been given the stamp of approval by the masses, which is in fact a black mark to overcome thanks to the aforementioned "people are stupid and like crap" principle and not a reassuring sign in the slightest.
