I basically wanted to hear the first impressions of TF2 from anyone who has an opinion :)

My first impression was great, although my older brother introduced me to the game, which naturally affected my impression. It's a great game from a company with fantastic humour. The only bad thing is that one can easily get very frustrated over something ridiculously common like getting backstabbed by a camping spy, exploded into tiny pieces by demomen or soldiers, sniped by, well, duh, snipers, but most annoying of all, burned to death in less than a second by F***ING PYROS!!

Have fun : ]

"This game makes no sense... is this some sort of mini game with mulitplayer?"

That changed VERY quickly however, TF2 makes my top 10 list :p

Pyros.

Pyros. PYROS

Not "Pyroes"

What does that even mean?

Anyway, prior to TF2 I had played TFC a lot. A whole lot. And TF2 is different from TFC. Really different. But a good different. So I guess what I'm trying to say here is, I like TF2 a lot, ever since I first bought it.

Fun, but nothing that will interest me for very long. The same goes for Left 4 Dead actually.

It was VERY hard in beginning (just like Day of Defeat:source) but if you play more you really get the hang of it

IT ROCKS

My inital reaction was "this is stupid." It still is stupid, but in a silly way, not in a need to be removes from society way.

My first impression was that it was extremely simple and therefore made it easy for me to start playing. However, it also allowed everyone to play, and, as part of it, you had a lot of the 13 year old children that were just old enough to play a game like this without their parent's complaining about the ESRB Rating.

My biggest problem was that it was so non-exclusive that it made the worst players able to play the game, and they always came to my team. I was sitting about 10-40 kills above any of the other players by using other players as meat shields, but we still didn't win because it was like Call of Duty 3 and less on it's hardest mode, where you had to be the one to advance, otherwise, the noobs would just head in and get killed consistently. And, when you popped a single foot out, they would pepper you with so many bullets, you remembered how Iron Man felt when he got hit by that bomb (thanks Yahtzee for part of that quote).

To me, my first impression was 'Meh'.

I got bonesawed about 5 times in a row by the same medic the first time I played. It was still fun though :p

I think the soldier update is next by the way.

First thoughts were "This is fun!"

Still is, I can only describe it as fun because it's not serious, it's funny and the best game that is taken just as a game not really seriously with cries of "omfg hax! noob! blah!".

Edit: Escapist TF2 Melee night is in an hour(ish). Come play! :D
