How will Shepard defeat the Reapers in Mass Effect 3? (Huge spoilers)

If you beat the game and saw the final cutscene, then you know shit will hit the fan in the third game. One reaper is bad enough, but an army floating towards the milky way is pretty scary. The first game had the entire citadel fleet fighting this monster, then we had a half built reaper which was slightly easier. But a whole army of them is going to require a lot more then Terminus Armor.

My guess will be hijacked Reapers, Using the Rachni you saved(You did save them right? RIGHT!), the Krogan genophage cure will help our army, the collectors base technology, and Legion will help us with a Geth army. Now we can kill about 7 of them; still not enough. Escapists, I think the Reapers will win this battle.

I'm pretty sure Bioware's not going to make ME3's plot the generic "LET'S FIND THE SUPERWEAPON AND OWN EVERYTHING!"

I think what we will find out in ME3 why the Reapers do what they do. Surely no one believes that the Reapers are just wiping out galactic civilizations "for the lulz". The reason will probably be the salvation of the current civilizations encompassing the Milky Way.

Bro, most people haven't beat the game, why should I go on the "I FUCKING LOVE TALI!" thread and say ending spoilers. Congratulations for upping your post count.

One word: Sacrifice.

You know the final thing will either be Shepard sacrificing himself, or leading the entire galaxy to war and everything dying.

Waking up, realizing it was all a dream. Then chuckling to himself
and getting a warm glass of space cow milk.

Allright, allright. No need for the hostility.
Anyway, I'm also thinking theres gonna be some self-sacrifice.

It is times like this when having a death star or two comes in really handy. Also a few super star destroyers could not hurt either.

i think the best way to go to beat them would be go paragon through the whole game, so you save as many people as you can...then save the collector station at the end. that way, you have all the people (i.e. geth, krogan, etc) plus your whole squad intact, plus all the other people who would join up...idk its gonna be an insane ending though...i just hope it comes out for 360 and not xbox 720 or whatever

Well, provided your Shepard is not a homicidal dick, and knows how to prepare for a goddam suicide mission you should have a plethora of allies to call upon.

If not, then there's always the chance Chuck Norris is in the area.

If you're Renegade you don't exactly murder everyone you see.

Also, the collector station is pretty much useless against the Reapers since the Reapers themselves designed it. You'd think they'd put some fail safes in place to prevent people from using the information stored inside. Reverse engineering could work but the weapons themselves won't exactly pack a punch against an army of overpowered squid robots.

Not only that, but Cerberus will have full control of the station. Even if we had a way to defeat the Reapers using the station and even if we won we'd be under Cerberus domination after. Really, destroying the station is doing a favor to the galaxy. Yes, valuable information on the indoctrination of the Protheans was stored inside but it's not worth relishing a weapon to an organization like Cerberus.

We will have all the races in the Galaxy to aid Shepard in the battle against the Reapers and we will also have the Geth + The Geth Heretics. The Heretics had the most contact with Sovereign, a Reaper, so they are a valuable asset in the battle against them.

You're right tho, the last battle will be insane giving the power of the Reapers but I'd like to find out their motives before trying to defend the galaxy from machines that wipe organic life like it's their day job.

EDIT: I should also mention how the Reapers themselves "ordered" galactic evolution through the construction of the Mass Relays and the Citadel. So, basically, they're more prepared than ever against any weapon built since the technology to build that weapon is based on their own technology. The only way to defeat the Reapers is to use non-Reaper technology and that is frankly impossible, giving that all galactic technology is based on Reaper tech.

Or go Renegade, and tell them they either join you or die by you. Or something similiar. :D

I will shit my pants laughing if they pull an Independence Day on the reapers as their means of defeating them. I do wonder how they are going to ward off what could be millions of reapers and how high of a cost it will be. Hell it would be funny if you came t a truce with them or something, or of coarse the ol'find the super weapon trick. OR maybe the illusive Man turns out to be a reaper and killing him somehow helps defeat them lol. I do hope they come up with a good way of beating them or whatever, but like I said, if they pulled an Independence Day on the reapers I'd shit myself laughing and be utterly pissed at the same time for such a hackneyed solution. Oh well we'll just have to wait 2 or 3 years and 30 hours of gameplay to find out.

I'm personally hoping they go into a bit of character development for the reapers in ME3 before we fight them. One thing that I criticize about the second game is that there was no character development for either Harbinger or the Collector General, they were just evil for the sake of being evil. So yeah, and I'm hoping that the whole thing ends with a big final showdown with Harbinger.

Solved through diplomatic channels that require the whole game to be played in the wheel of discussion. Oh sorry for that, that would have been original. No it will be solved like all problems, with guns and explosives.
