I have no clue as to how the world will end but I do believe that humans have the ability to leave this planet and search for new homes amongst the stars.
As for previous answers -
Yellowstone exploding? How do scientists know that it will explode or will ever explode? Yellowstone is just like any other patch of earth by which I mean that any place on earth has the potential to explode and create another volcano.
The Sun going supernova? - I really doubt that it will happen any time soon and when it does, our species will either be long gone from earth or we'll have gone extinct for some arbitrary reason. And for the record, science doesn't prove anything, evidence either supports an end or goes against it. And on another note, I do believe that we as a species are quite stupid in that our species developed these theories and believe that they will give us the end all answers to everything. 'We think and believe it happens this way, therefore it must happen this way' thinking.
Humans dying due to stupidity, overpopulation, war, resource loss? - this is by far the most likely to occur. However, I do believe that our species has some intellect into solving such problems as these. We may come to war if the oil, coal, and natural gas resources run out but if we can go solar, wind, water, hydrogen, or any other fuel form, then there will be no need for war. Plus I do not believe our species will die off when oil runs out but if we continue to destroy the world's forests which provide more than half of our oxygen, then many of us will die but most-likely not all. If overpopulation strikes, we could simply find much more efficient ways of producing food and creating towers for housing. But stupidity could mean anything, a likely example would run along the lines of 'I Am Legend' in which we create a new species which helps in one way but greatly harms us in another.
But if we are capable of undoing our mistakes, then we as a species will last more many more millenia, even longer than the dinosaurs. No one knows how they ended up extinct but it was likely because they did not possess the necessary intellect to overcome the challenges the world brought them.
I also do not believe in the greenhouse effect in the way that scientists have put it. Sure we are increasing CO2 levels, but not in the same degree as volcanoes and certain species of animals which give off methane. There are many greater and more dangerous gases than CO2. Besides, CO2 is necessary for plants. If people want to get rid of it, then we'd be killing off countless species of plants.
But as long as we continue to grow in our understanding of the world and can accept our mistakes against the world, we are capable of living on possibily until the universe ends.
