It probably wouldn't affect my life very much, I've got a friend who's neighbours are gay so I'd probably just see them wearing wedding rings from now on. I think they should have the right to marry, love's love right?

Are you being serious!?!?

The sky would turn to black! Horses would start eating each other! The rivers would run red with blood and a plague of locusts would descend from the heavens!

In case you hadn't guessed, that was sarcasm. The real answer is not at all. Except I may have to attend a few more weddings. The idea really doesn't bother me.

Take that, anti-gay Christian stereotype!

It would not affect me much at all. My friends who are gay would be able to marry, and that'd be nice, I guess. Otherwise, it wouldn't make much of a difference to my life. I'm not gay, nor do I want to marry, nor do I care if others are gay and/or want to get married.

if my neighbours where gay marriage, I wouldn't ask how is your wife, but how is your husband.

Might have to go to a couple of gay weddings.
But gay weddings might mean gay wedding receptions.
I'm good with that assuming they have good refreshments.

But you know, once you let them marry they'll start recruiting at schools and after school events.

I could never honestly produce a legitimate way it could negatively affect me.

Well, I could get married if I end up wanting to tie the knot with a woman post transition. Otherwise, I guess I'd go to more weddings.

Gay Marriage? We have it in Denmark, and so far a number things have happened:
1. Gays get married.
2. Everyone is happy.
3. The world has NOT ended.
4. God has NOT sent the thunderbolts to smite us.
5. We are the number one happiest country in the world.
6. USA is the 17th on that same list.

So, eh... Yeah.

It... wouldn't. Not in the slightest.

I don't know anyone gay close enough to be invited to their wedding so it wouldn't increase my chances of attending them. I'm also not gay though I am bicurious and have been for a while.

Quite frankly, I don't see how this would do anything to my life. Like at all.

Yeah, it's funny. Massachusetts legalised gay marriage years ago, and divorce rates are down to roughly that of the 1950s, there's no outbreak of AIDS or whatever else the conservatives think, so...

In my case, I think I'd start walking in funny, almost horseriding-related ways. Also, I would become a great supporter of the vaseline industry.

I would be able to get married, something I'd like to do. I'd also be able to get spousal benefits and other stuff that straight married couples get. so it affect my life a lot.

I have a few homosexual friends, but it wouldn't change my life that much. Maybe adding more married couples to my life will show me my own inability to commit to a girl for particular reasons. It might put tension in my fellow Christian friends, resulting in a bit of falling out. It would kinda polarize my friend base. The reason for this is because some people can't accept the concept that marriage isn't strictly religious, or belonging to any one religion.

But that's getting into the powerpoint. I guess it wouldn't affect me too much as long as my friends didn't let it bother them. But then again ya, homosexual couples are already common, and we never discuss homosexuality in serious conversation, so it wouldn't affect me much at all.

My homophobic racist bigot dad, however, would be greatly affected, but only because of his own problems and hatred. He will jump into his anti-homosexuality speech when we are talking about 9/11.

Classic lol.

OT: Don't really give two shits whether gays get married or not so long as they don't force churches (any place where a specific devotion is followed) to marry them. If the church is cool with it then I am fine too. What I don't want is anyone forcing another person's beliefs on another thus infringing on the rights of the people in the church...but no, does not effect me at all.
