Get rid of Gnomeregon. The gnomes should be more than able to take it back.
Eh?
Eh?
Dunno what you'd give the Horde, though.
Get rid of the instance, blow it up or something. Horde don't have the shame of having a race at level 80 losing a city to level 20's with leprosy

Have people of the opposite sex find you attractive and not a mouth breathing basement monster.

Make (some of) the Echo Isles a big troll settlement. With buildings on sticks, statues and rope bridges and stuff. A bit like Zul Gurub/Aman.

Giving Shaman to the Alliance and Paladins to the Horde was a mistake as well.
No, no no no NO.

Honestly, removing the faction imbalance was the only real way to move forward IMO. Because you had fights where Paladins were so much more useful or where Shamans were (see AQ40 for a horrible example of this in so many levels) that they were having to design two effectively separate games for each faction.

I'd add a storyline to it.
It does have a story, but supposedly only lore-whores read about it. The rest concentrate on the grind.
It has a GREAT story, but it can sometimes be overwhelmed by the massive amount of side storylines that quest givers introduce. If you want to know more about the main storyline, you can read the lore on their site, or check out the War of the Ancients trilogy.

Have epic battles between the two factions.
Get rid of grind.
Make a linear plot with freeplay afterward
Make NPCs and Questgivers MOVE.
Make it pay to play ONCE and then free forever, if they did this, I'd be all over it like spies on a conspiracy theorist.

How would I improve it?
Shut it down.
And since you asked,
yes, I have played the game,
yes, I do hate the game.

I think having more quests that require thought. Like Runescape, I know most people don't like it, but credit were credits due for their quests system, I mean when you completed one, it was a real sense of achievement, instead of in WoW were completing one is about as special as my toe nail clippings...

First of all, clothes dying pl0x.

Also, better character customization. I spent like, half an hour making my guy look as unique as possible, than My first day of play I come across about 6 clones of myself. Even the first NPC I see is pretty much me. FUCKING. ANNOYING. Also, get rid of DK's, please, they are the stupidest class...evur.

Also, make a weapon that has the special ability to shoot out testosterone and was on fire. Even though once you pass level twenty every weapon does that and more. '-.- yes, please, please, please, make the armor and weapons less retarded looking. Please? I know its not as retarded in WOTLK, but in Burning crusade it was just...Ridiculous.

I'd make it so one could run endgame, raids, or group quests by yourself. Meaning when you walk into, say, Karazhan it would ask you if you wanted to run the area on your own and if so adjust the area accordingly to single player difficulty. Yes still make it difficult, but give me the chance to see what the inside of the Black Temple looks like without having to find a group of people, and all meet, and get a time that everyone can meet at, and not have someone drop out half way through, and not have to worry about getting up for work in the morning and etc....

I know that kind of defeats the purpose of making it an MMO but it what Im looking for. Sometimes I just don't have the time or patience to have to meet up with 10-25 other people. BUT I still want to play WoW. I want the option of playing with all of my friends and guild mates, but sometimes I just want to be able to fight the Lich King on my own and have fun with it. Make the rewards different or something to distinguish the single player end gamers and the hard core guild end gamers.

It could make a good test to see if you are eligible for a raiding guild. "Run Black Temple on your own in under XXX hours and you can get into our guild".

Yes. Yes. YES. I do think the Pre-TBC content should get some love - have some of the areas built up/moved around. Gnomes and Trolls have been sidelined for so long it's not even remotely funny any more. I could see the Gnomes and Trolls getting whole new starting areas elsewhere on the map, isn't there meant to be a Troll-only island somewhere off of Westfall anyway? I also thought Gnomeregan's inability to be repopulated was something to do with it being so irradiated you can only spend a few hours down there before you go nuts like the Leper Gnomes.

1 - I BELIEVE this is what Wintergrasp and the new battleground are aiming for, or were you talking about in the game world?
2 - How would you accomplish this genre-redefining feat?
3 - Like Age of Conan? 'cos that sucked :) There is a basic plot that drives the game through to level 80, but I wouldn't complain if they made it more pronounced in earlier quests.
4 - I can't even slightly disagree with this.

I... Really like this. Maybe doing Raid Content with a group of 5 like an ordinary dungeon as well? Obviously, the best gear would still come from the 25-man raids of uber leet epicness (and now I need to eat a live squirrel in pennance for typing that...), but I could see the single-player runs being able to gear you up to do the next tier of dungeon.

Also, sometimes you just wanna wreck Illidan's smug little face on your own...

Better armour for lower levels, more races, and what they sortof touched on with the Tauren and Night Elf, i.e not being completely bound to Horde/Alliance.

Control your character like in Oblivion (for every mmorpg more hack 'n slash).
e.g. control every hit, instead of clicking on something and then waiting for either you or whatever you attacked dies while occasionally using a potion to turn the tides in your favor.
