How would you react if games were suddenly banned?

Well for that answer we should turn to our fellows in Germany, who may face this predicament quite soon. Of course, I don't mean "games" in general, I mean "fun games", which happen to be violent, therefore ban-fodder.

I'd keep playing my games and write to my government? It's not like they could do anything besides stop selling them, and think how long that'd last. I know this is a hypothetical thing but there wouldn't be much worry. What are the cops going to come to your door? "Hello, we were told by your neighbor you have video games." No officer I'm just watching Die Hard really loud and screaming headshot. "oh, okay have a nice day"

To quote "Burn City" by Pegz-
"I told you I'd be packing my bags/
if you ever turned your back on my fam/
That's the sound of an angry crowd singing/
'BURN THIS ***** TO THE GROUND!'"

Not well, but then again I can't really see how it would be enforced. It's not as if the government can forcibly search our houses for games, right?

i would kill people and blame a book, lets see how people react!!!
it would probably depend very seriously on the book, what did you have in mind?

i would probably be safe, thanks to the fact that i play virtually no very violent games. let's see someone ban chess and say that that is to protect people from being violently murdered.
oohh, i dont know, Jack the Ripper, some book that describes step by step how he disembowels people or such (i have read some but dont remember the name), it would also work if i raped girls and blamed it to the books of "Sade" (i have read some too) or something like that, obviously something in tune, people have to realize how stupid it sounds that a "fictional" setting would make someone do anything.
No, even better, blame the Bible. Imagine what would happen if you were to commit a ton of insane crimes, then say that reading the Bible drove you to do it.

On topic, I'd probably protest, show them that Game Overthinker video, and if they didn't lift the ban, well, *demonic voice* I'd disembowel them and sell their organs on the black market.
hey, that bible thing is actually true, isn´t it stated in the bible that homosexuals should be Stoned to death (haha, stoned hahahaha, i think i meant lapidated)

but then they would just say i am a crazy fanatic...

wich is exactly what they should be saying of those few cases videogames were really involved

but anywhay i would probably be sent to a psichiatric ward or something before they ban the bible.

Play my 360 in my attic, where no one could find me or it.
Anne frank style nice!
EDIT: removed comment, though it's innocent, I can easily see myself being banned by maybe a hypersensitive Jewish mod.

OH WHAT THE HECK

"Don't forget what happened to Anne Frank..."
I'd be the new hide-and-seek champ, though, so it's all good.

And then they'd publish "Th3 DI4RY 0F FR3DDI3 4GUI14R" once gaming was legalized again, if ever.

I would simply be thinking that this is a horrible financial move. Rental agencies such as Gamefly and Blockbuster would lose money due to the fact that there American Fans no longer exist. What would piss me off more is that Games would be banned but smoking would not be. Smoking causes lung cancer while video games are just a scapegoat for random acts of violence.

I'd start collecting armaments and form my own gang. We'd operate like mafia men in the Prohibition error operating underground taverns full of games of every type. We'd bribe, steal, and kill in a play to make a quick buck on something we enjoyed.

Eventually the gov would realize they just created a larger problem and repeal the ban thus ending the second great age of organized crime.
That's not a bad idea.

I'd become a world famous and influential politician and get Football Manager accepted as a 'spreadsheet-like application' and move on.

Blow some shit up. In the shape of a smiley face, just to make a point. (That point being that movies and "professional" wrestling/MMA/etc. cause more violent behavior than anything else except psychosis.)

OK, I probably wouldn't actually execute Project Mayhem, but I'd find some way to make that point without killing or seriously injuring anyone.

I would murder each and every single bastard that passed the law. But then again, that might prove video games make you violent.

Nah, it would be those pricks that would bring it onto themselves.
