You can't... how would you get people to do what you want, if you can't execute them?

Well maybe a lot of grenades will do. (But they are horrible to win a one-at-one fight)

Gunpowder, its explosive, highly flammable, a big enough amount can cause a big enough distraction for me to sneak into the vault

for robbing the bank i'd say tunnel under the vault grab the loot then use explosives to cover up where the tunnel leads. the hole in the vault floor would give away there was a tunnel used. as for the violent crime a thug is a thug and you can create a weapon out of almost anything so banning weapons doesn't do any good. off topic is it true that boy scouts are banned from having knives in England?

A nuke...did we actually have to get money from the bank??? I was going to use it (and the surrounding city) as an example of what will happen all over the world if I don't get $67.815 trillion.
Why make trillions when we can make...BILLIONS?
Trillions > Billions

have you ever seen the movie "inside man"? they robbed the bank without actualy using real guns, just fake ones that eveybody thought were guns. i'd do that exept actualy rember to rob the back (i.e not just take the diamonds but a fuck load of cash in the backpack as well)

Get a job at the bank and skim off the top of all the transactions.
Speaking from experience in the banking industry I'd say you'd be lucky to get more than a couple hundred for your trouble, and when they counted your drawer down they'd notice (and if it were more than about $250 they'd search your person, so if you stole enough for it to be worth it you'd get arrested and if not you'd be fired for stealing small change and never be able to work in any job involving cash handling ever again because embezzlement shows up on background checks and that's exactly what they'd put onto your record.)

For what it's worth, bank tellers who work the closing shift talk about this stuff all the time during the hour between when the lobby closes and when the drive-up closes. When I was assistant manager it was the first thing most new-blood tellers asked me about, not because they were dishonest, but because they were as curious as any of you would be in the same situation---and how I was when I first started there.

Step One: Pose as a member of the phone community for the purposes of severing all land lines and other forms of direct communication with the bank
Step Two: Steal a van, parking it near the bank with an RF jammer inside for the purposes of disabling cell phones.
Step Three: With a quality disguise walk in using an IR burner on the cameras in order to ensure they cannot record any information, and make my demands(which is on generic white printer paper, with thin gloves to prevent fingerprints.
Step Four: While fleeing, find a way to replace all clothing that I had at the scene, including my shoes.
Step Five: Profit.

In that case I would probably try to break into the vault at night and chloroform anyone still in the bank.
