Outa how many billion people on the face of the planet I'm surprised this stuff doesn't happen more.
This is why the punishment should fit the crime PLUS jail time.
example: you drop someone off of a parking garage you to should be forced off of the parking garage, given lax medical care and then thrown in jail.

The one for the muggers, they should be beaten with lead pipes wielded by a platoon of SAS forces. (The US should use Green Berets or USMC Force Recon Paratroopers, or Army Rangers)

Its too bad that war veteran didn't blast a few of those robbers, you'd be surprised how watching your fellow asshole muggers get splattered across a room can change what they want to do with their lives, or for the next few seconds. I know 6 or 7 people who say that they wont go back to robbing people because (I worked in a prison though)they watched their buddies get their brain matter applied to 2 walls, a floor and a ceiling.

You know what? I think that the government in the US (robbing the elderly is a problem everywhere) should help out elderly veterans by posting guards out side of elderly assisted living homes and the like, those places are more susceptible to robberies because robbers will go for easy targets.

It's not so much that there is no hope left for humanity
It's more that all the hope we could garner, the good things that happen, are all smothered. For every decent human action there are three horrible atrocities.
After all, no good deed goes unpunished

Humans, by nature, were born to kill. It's survival of the fittest. Only in recent times (And I'm talking like... the last 300 years or so, may be even less) people have become "civilised" and are trying to improve humanity. Yes, people do kill people and not to take resources (I don't think Steve Jobs is going to do Bill Gates in to acquire Microsoft, do you?), because they don't like that person, but there is a majority of people trying to better the world. Could you call them disgusting? Humans are improving themselves at a great rate, it's just a few head cases that get published in the news that make you think that humans are terrible.

Its a grey world, good shit happens, and bad shit happens. Only that bad shit is far more shocking than good one

I have absolutely no faith in human beings. Some guy tapes people stomping on small rodents because it's "fun" for them. In the middle east they make bears dance by putting a hook through their noses and tying a dog to bears throats so they can rip them out. So basically where i'm going with this is that humans are sick sadistic fucks and can't be trusted.

You should watch the movie Boondock Saints and then act accordingly in your city. That's all I have to say about this story.

Nowadays it seems like some people go out of there way just to be hurtful. People could be helping others and bettering themselves and humanity but instead they're just pathetic. It's really sad.

I don't understand this logic. When one absolutely horrible thing happens people act like human race is doomed and that we are all barbaric morons. Why? One person's actions should not be a representation of humanity as a whole. If people didn't care when this type of thing happened, then I would agree with this point of view. But people do care.

Anyways, I was obviously feel sorry for the boy. That's such a cruel thing to do to somebody.
Here is something else to consider. For every one of these situations, for every three or so people who are morally bankrupt, there are a ton of us. We hear this story and understand how bad it is. We know the difference between what is acceptable and what is not, and do our best to act accordingly. This would tell you that, on the whole, humanity is good and understands these kinds of things are wrong. Humanity isn't damned yet, not so long as there are people like us who feel sickened every time we hear something like this.

God damn, I was in Ipswitch a few months ago while I was staying with my family in England. We went there to see movies several times because they lived close by in StowMarket. Going to ask them tomorrow what they heard about this.

Some people are so sick minded, or stupid, that I just have no words for them.

I read in a magazine about two boys (below 10) who ganged up on a young girl who had cancer and sprayed deoderant into face in hope of trying to light her on fire. I also read about a group of boys (still under 10) who asked another boy to play with them only to force him into a pre-made noose and try to hang him. When they had his head in the noose, they ran away and left him to die.
Neither of the children died but it's sick what children so young are doing now. What is going on?

Oh, and another sick story is what happening to James Bulger. If you don't know who that is then I recommend you google it now.
that was a horrible thing

OP this is disgusting too bad people dont understand my hate for going outside and spending time with creatures...

Of course humans are worthless. I think that the sooner we all die out, the better.

Humanity disgusts me in general, and this has only lowered my opinion of humanity. It keeps happening that just when I think my opinion of it cant get worse, I read something like this and it does.

Once we all die out, life will move on, and all those species we killed off will seem to the next intelligent life form to evolve to have vanished as fast as the dinosaurs did. And the evidence of our existence will be gone forever by that point, so no other explanations for them I'm afraid. They are left in the dark about it.
Hey man, you do realize that you're a human too, right?

One day I am going to throw a bomb on this world. A contraceptive bomb.
Sure as hell won't stop me from trying!!!!

Yeah, it isn't good how low some people stoop. Maybe if we actually enforced serious penalties it would be less common (people get punished less for rape than they do tax evasion...)
