Funny... Reading this thread, most of the repliers put all of humanity as unreconcilable because of specific individuals' malice. I believe humanity as a whole is incredibly selfish, at varying degrees, but not overall malicious.

You cannot judge a man with meeting him. The whole idea that we all suck so we die is absolute BS. Get off your high horse and come down to the regular world and guess what you will find? A lot of caring normal people, sure young people can be jerks and most of us have only dealt with young people. When you actually go out the working world it changes, even the dumbest labor is just a normal person trying to make the best out of the cards that he has been dealt. Sure he might do so activities that you don't approve of but he still wont go out of his way to hurt you.

Finally animals are way more barbaric then humans. If you gave my cat the ability to kill all the birds/mice in the world she would do it. have you ever seen a cat kill a mouse? they play with it for a long time, a slow dance of death that is far more cruel then anything that i could do. So this argument state because we have developed the technology (which technology develops in a society for societies to exist we have to be able to work together which isnt barbaric at all) that is capable of more destruction we are more barbaric. that is foolishness.

For all the people saying humanity needs to die out as a species, no one isn't stopping you from suicide.

People do good selfless stuff too. Do creatures risk life and limb to save other creatures they don't even know. Just today i've read of a taxi driver donating a kidney to passenger he learned was a match. Some guy pulled a kid from some building. A lady that rescues abandoned horses. Humanity disgusts me in general, and this has only lowered my opinion of humanity. It keeps happening that just when I think my opinion of it cant get worse, I read something like this and it does.

Once we all die out, life will move on, and all those species we killed off will seem to the next intelligent life form to evolve to have vanished as fast as the dinosaurs did. And the evidence of our existence will be gone forever by that point, so no other explanations for them I'm afraid. They are left in the dark about it.

Opinions like this are just plain flat out WRONG.

Humans are not a virus. We are living organisms, each of us with unique mindsets and opinions. Some of us are complete scum of the earth, who don't deserve to lick the shit off the boots of others, but generally, people AREN'T like that.

Criminals will always receive more attention than good Samaritans, and that is a disgusting act of the media in itself. There are MANY more good deeds preformed everyday by normal decent people, then there are heinous crimes committed by evil, corrupt people.

Don't hate on humanity... see if you can do anything to help make it better.

Things like this almost make me want to advocate the government having a guiding hand in structuring culture, this might happen less.

Some people are shitty. Case closed. Don't lose hope, look at the good things and accept that terrible shit happens sometimes, and it's not the end of the world.

No, they deserve to be given a choice.
Step 1. Super glue their willies inside a steel pipe.
Step 2. Build a massive slab of concrete around mentioned pipe.
Step 3. Put a rather large explosive beside them and give them a VERY blunt knife (we're talking something that can barely cut warm butter).
Step 4. Tell them the explosive will detonate in 60 seconds and explain that they have the choice to either cut off their willies with the knife, or get evaporated along with it.

Either way, the rest of humanity win.

This is a good post.
People really have to stop labeling humans under good or evil. Humans, by nature, are...well, human. We make mistakes, we get hotheaded, impatient, shit happens in childhood that makes things worse...and sometimes bad things happen. It's just the way things are.

Animals never had a World War, who are the real animals?

Show me another animal with enough intelligence to create a complex social systems that include millions of people with metaphysical ideas such as morals and good and evil. Show me another animal who is able to even understand the concept of war and peace, and then show me an animal that can choose to live their lives non-violently, even if they come under attack.

All of you who are upset because of this are the very reason you should keep your faith in humanity. Some people are messed up, sure, but the vast majority would not tolerate this sort of thing.
If you don't like it, as somebody has already said, do something about it. I, personally, work for a company that publishes reading material for children, and I write things that emphasize believing in themselves and being kind to others.

HOWEVER, do not let the actions of some, delude your opinion of our species as a whole.

Think about this thread right now, the simple fact that you as a person have the capability to look at an event your not even connected to and feel so passionately, is something most creatures have never done. The human race is conscious of itself and takes on responsibilities for one an other. So when you see something like this, don't allow it to frame what humanity is, let you're reaction, and HEY the reactions of the hundred or so that posted in this forum act as an example to what we are.
