Name: Gavril Nagarian.
Age: 34.
Gender: M.
Appearance: Brown hair of medium length contrasting his sea-blue eyes and drawing the attention away from his saggy eyelids and early wrinkles formed from long hours of study. He wears a jacket over his broad shoulders and hides his slight chubby shape. Though chubby, his fingers are finely carved with a lot of saggy meat from the usage of pencils and paint brushes. His legs are sturdy with both his calves and thighs quite muscular from standing whilst painting on big canvases. He wears simple breeches with a silver pocket-watch hanging from his coat pocket to his breeches. A finely woven garnet is neatly tucked in his breast pocket for when his nose runs due to the cold air. Although simple clothing, he is known to wear the same brown, long and slender dinner shoes. Although fancy and elegant, they seem ragged and worn from usage.
Personality: Gavril gets frustrated at simple things very fast, but he has learned to cool down before he gets angry so his emotions do not overrule his senses. A neat painter trick, so not to ruin the portrait with gashes of fury-driven paints. His emotions don't give him away, for he is used to looking at beautiful women and saggy old gentlemen, while their own eyes never leave his. Maybe it's something about the way his facial expressions twitch when he's concentrating on a portrait, or it's genuine curiosity from the people he's portraying. But he's seen every facial expression known to man, and he's learned how to read them all.
Equipment: Gavril always carries a box of pencils along with a sketching pad on his person, for whenever he feels the urge to draw something on paper or simply to pass the hours. Since the cold air started breezing in from the countryside, he's dug up his father's old flask and filled it with "aquavit". A simple mix of vodka and water to keep the price low and the nourishment high. The mix was taught to him by his grandmother, for when she was around the alcohol was so expensive they would mix it with water to sustain usage. But mainly, he'd grown fond of the lucid taste.
Experience: From years of painting portraits of people, from young, beautiful and blooming, to old, wise and intriguing, Gavril has managed to learn how facial expressions can give a person's feelings away. Other than that, his extraordinary painting skills and his attention to even the smallest details make him notice anything out of the ordinary. A feat of strength, you might say, from portraying detailed sketches and portraits his whole life.
Why are you here? Gavril believes that the facial expressions of Jack the Ripper would be extraordinary, and if he could manage to get his face on paper he might create a masterpiece painting, to be sold for such a high amount he wouldn't have to work again for the rest of his life.
You could say that he's there to lend his skills to the hunt, but really he's simply looking for an early retirement.
Bio: Gavril first touched a paint brush when he was 4 years old, and has never stopped loving his mother's portraits since. His mother always used to tell him that one day he could paint as she did, but never did he suspect that from years of painting, he would discover a hidden ability both strange and alien, but yet so common.
He first discovered his ability while painting a portrait of a beautiful princess from one of the Arabian Kingdoms to the East. She was in Britain with her father to finish up some business concerning some gold mines recently discovered there.
A few hours into the painting, he looked at her but something was different. As he looked into her eyes, he noticed her smile was deeper and her thoughts were far away, distant. Her eyes were wide with awe and didn't mind him looking at her. He knew right away that she was attracted to him and later that night he took her virginity. Much to his pleasure, her father did not suspect a thing, else his head would not be where it is at this current moment.
After that, he started looking at the faces of the people he was portraying, not merely imagining their faces and remembering details to put on the paper, but really looking at their facial expressions and reading what they were thinking. Not much talking was going on during long hours of portraying, so deep thoughts and facial expressions were common. He managed to master his technique fast and elaborately until his abilities managed him great offers for his portraits due to remarkable facial expressions with deep secrets and hidden meanings. And not only that, but due to his young and youthful nature, he could see what all the beautiful ladies he portrayed were thinking and managed to seduce most of them to his bedchamber.
