The rabbits over the road are breeding like crazy and will destroy the new tress we are planting if left unchecked. So today i asked to see my grans broken air rifle and found it was in perfect condition. After a few test shots i threw on my cadet gear and went and sat in the woods and after a few missed shots and oppurtunites i got one. I hit its jaw , i didnt kill it so i chased it down, clobbered it with the butt of my gun and sunk another two pellets behind the eye. I bagged it and gutted it and am going to eat it tommorow. But according to some people i know this is "Wrong" "Cruel" and unessesscary. "Theres plenty of meat in the supermarket" says one idiot i know.
I am 16 and hunting isnt all that cmmon over here in england, i reckon accoutns for those commnets, but what do you think?

Is it necessary to describe that in detail? Hunting's fine, but some people may not agree. I go hunting with my dad and uncles all the time.

I'm fine with hunting. Ignore what "those people" say. If they want to have a ton of yardwork undone by some damn rodents, then let em.

Rabbit's not in any of my locla supermarket. Go for it.
As for the killing, we've all gotta grow up some time.

Hunting isn't wrong or cruel or unnecessary, it's helped the human race for thousands of years.

You didn't kill it, so you caught it and beat, then you shot it again.
Why didn't you just shoot it again instead of beating it? Sure it was gonna end up dead anyway, but you didn't need to put it through more pain before hand.
I don't really have a problem with hunting but there's no need to beat the poor things.

you've clearly never been bitten by a rabbit. Those things will give you a considerable owie that borders on booboo.

No, regular men are much more pleasurable to hunt, strip down, and slowly suffocate. Than the children are easy to skin.
Why suffocate? I put them in a pool of ice-cold water to start the preservation process. The meat stays good for longer that way.

I think the beating it was a little unnecessary. Why not just shoot it again? Give it a little less pain.

Also, I agree with hunting humans instead. Just need a nice island, and some jagged rocks around it. And a fake lighthouse light. And a muscular deaf servant. Preferably Cossack.

As long as it's a clean kill on an allowed species, it's perfectly ethical.
This.

Also, I'd upgrade your firearm there, pal. Hunting is one thing. Brutalizing the poor creature with multiple wounds to the face then bashing its head in is something else entirely.
