Here's a question I have.

The squirrels were I live are becoming a climax community. In other words, they are reproducing way to fast and don't have enough food in their habitat to support themselves. So now there are squirrels everywhere. Running through the streets, climbing on peoples houses, and messing up my attic.

Would it be wrong to shoot them with my bow?

No, regular men are much more pleasurable to hunt, strip down, and slowly suffocate. Than the children are easy to skin.

Why suffocate? I put them in a pool of ice-cold water to start the preservation process. The meat stays good for longer that way.

Of course, I definitly don't want to use the meat for sexual pursuits...

Why is it wrong with a bow. The arrow is razor sharp. Goes right through their skull and kills them instantly.

Besides their squirrels. It doesn't matter how they die. You don't see people talking about the pain of insects.

Your story made me laugh quite a bit just the thought of you chasing down a rabbit and battering it to death with an air rifle. I hunt down animals in the woods near me, though I have no air rifle so I rely on good timing and one of my knives. I don't eat the things, but its just good fun. Except the time I woke up a badger.

No, but squirrels are too small for it to be badass. Go after something bigger.

The whole concept of hunting to control populations seems strange. Anyone who has taken a highschool biology class should know that animal populations are in constant flux, going through rhythmic intervals of boom and bust, similar to a market, depending on food supply.

Anywho, i find the idea of shooting and bashing an animal mildly unpleasant, but I am well aware that many of the animals that I eat from restaurants or supermarkets also have crappy lives and deaths, so in that sense I don't see it as worse than what I do.

The thought of some chasing down an animal and beating it to death. Explain to me in what way is that even remotely amusing.

Rabbit is delicious and no longer has much in the way of natural predators.

Its cruel NOT to kill them.

Well I believe hunting for meat is fine as long as it's regulated, a lot of people feel disassociated from the deaths of animals because they get the meat in plastic packaging in a supermarket.

You hunting animals is not fine. You don't know how to hunt because you didn't kill the animal cleanly and it probably suffered quite a bit before it died because you obviously can't shoot properly.
