So, I went back to my N64 and decided to run through Ocarina of time then Majora's Mask for a while (i wasn't bothered to go all the way to end, though i've passed them before). And i think i actually enjoyed Majora's Mask as much as Ocarina of time. I'm not putting down Ocarina of Time because it's an excellent game, but there's just something about MM that's always appealed to me a bit more. I think i just liked the slightly darker and creepeier atmosphere, characters and story. Okay, so i don't love the 3 day limit, but i thought it was fairly well incorporated into the gameplay and made things a bit more challenging (there were some moments where i found OOT a tad too easy). Though MM was a bit too short. But this is just how i felt about the two games, and i was curious to see what other people's experiences were.

OOT has the best dungeons.
Majora's Mask has the most atmosphere.
Windwaker is the most fun to explore.
Twilight Princess has the beyblade.

This is how I feel about the 3D Zelda games.
Personally, I liked Majora's Mask most.

Only played OOT to be honest.
Darn, now I gotta get me a N64 so I can play it again!

Never played OOT, but everyone makes it seem like the best friggin game ever. I only played MM a little, but as a child, the upskirt on the dancer at night makes the game worth the time.

I don't want to get your hopes up in case you don't enjoy it as much as i did, but i reckon you should get round to playing MM ;).

lol just download a n64 emulator
I've tried out the Project 64 emulator, and it seems alright, the main problem is just the controls in comparison to using a N64 controller can lessen the experience of a game.

Lol, i guess that's a good a reason as any. Just personally, OOT is my favourite game either, but nor is MM, but i still found them very enjoyable.

Also you won't be getting through water temple without a gamepad or by cheating.

I prefer OoT myself, but it really loses it's appeal after the first time.

I played both OoT and MM,and I loved both.

I never liked OOT but I may check out MM. I love dark, atmospheric games. From what I've seen of MM it kinda has this Tim Burton quality about it. May buy it on VC once I finish Psychonauts :D

This is actually a pretty popular opinion. Back when these games released, however, OoT was actually revolutionary, whereas MM wasn't quite as influential. IGN gave Ocarina of Time the rare score of a solid 10, whereas they gave MM a 9.9, because it was still amazing, but it didn't do anything significant to gaming (Ocarina of Time introduced Z-targetting, which was obviously huge).

Or you could just use the Virtual Console

That game made me feel a lot of things, not sure if fun was one of them...no, wait, the swimming and rolling were definitely fun.

Anyway, it still remains one of my favourite games of all time.
Yeah, I might buy a Wii just for that.
And the other classic N64 games I loved, like Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64.
Epic games!

Wow I was really young when I played these games. I really need to try them again.

I remember I loved both... but not much more than that.
Oh and being really confused at the end of MM.

Maybe I still have some points for the Wii store thing...

i played both games just recently, i was to scared to play OoT when i was younget (but i did play blood?!) but i liked the living world of Majoras Mask, i wish they would ring that back, and i call the 3d zeldas the best games ever not any one of them but all of them (i have still not played the cel-shaded ones)

Majora's mask was in essence, the greatest excuse in history to have NPC's only have 1 or 2 lines of dialogue :)
I loved it though, played through recently on project 64 and finally bothered to do pretty much everything except get all pieces of heart, found it a thoroughly enjoyable time waster, particularly since it was just about the only game that runs on my laptop (although aiming using keyboard controls is difficult...).

You're not really missing that much.
It's a good game, and it has it's moments, but it isn't a HOLY FUCK MUST PLAY kinda game like the other 3D Zelda games, or even some of the 2D games. (Link's Awakening. Fuck yeah.)
