Yeah, you are killed by everything, but think about it.
The MC is immortal, as s/he cannot be killed permanently, and you constantly overcome crushing odds. Taking down that boss that's been pissing you off is one of the greatest feelings the game can provide.
Not to mention, you are able to wield every weapon, cast every spell and wear every piece of armour with the right stats. If that's not god-like, I don't know what is.
While I've never had a more satisfying feeling than taking down some of the bosses, that feeling of power and superiority is crushed when you walk outside the bosses chambers, make a careless misstep and get killed by a basic enemy you've killed a hundred of. That game takes every opportunity to show you how much other games coddle players. After a while you get the feeling that the only reason your character can't die is so the game can keep on killing you with fewer loading screens.

No longer bother with the stealth part of archery in Skyrim for the simple reason that I insta-kill most things. Elder Dragons take two or three shots to bring down. So that game counts.

Also WOW for the brief period in early cataclysm I actually came back to it. Played a prot warrior and got good enough to solo down pretty much anyone in BGs and generally be able to carry pretty much any group through HC dungeons. There was a point where I decided to do a normal 85 dungeon out of boredom waiting for my guild, and I swear I didn't even need a healer there...

Asura's Wrath when you obviously are on a god level and can destroy planet-sized enemies with ease and come back from the dead

Morrowind. It gets to the point where you just stroll around one-shotting everything you see and never getting damaged... even in sub-optimal gear.

It really depends. Usually it's just certain situations that leave me feeling god-like.
Just the other day I was playing Left 4 Dead 2 on versus. I was the last survivor standing on the map with the giant rock concert stage at the end. So, knowing I was doomed, I jumped onto the stage and picked up a guitar. A charge started charging at me, and I hit it with the guitar. I killed it mid-charge, with a guitar, on a rock concert stage.
I felt like a God for a brief moment, before a Tank raped me.

darksiders, yahtzee had it right with his description of war, at no point in that game do you feel weak, even when you actually are weak, you are a monster truck that walks like a man!

Splatterhouse pretty much same as above, you just rip crap to pieces for best part of 8 hours.

bastion, which was strange because i never expected that feeling from that game, you just wreck the last level then you basically hold the future in your hands, pretty damn badass if you ask me.

Garry's Mod for me. Yeah, you can "die" but dying has no cost to you, other than trekking back to where you were, which shouldn't be far. Plus, you can build anything you want. I like making Pod Racers.

Seconded. Near the end of both games you are basically a cross between the hulk and a flesh eating virus with a dash of shapeshifting. You break people just by accidentally bumping into them, and when you actually try... cower in fear pathetic mortals indeed.

Red Dead Redemption or more specifically, in it's multiplayer component. More than most any other game, I found getting headshots in it a gleefully simple proposition. Many a shoot-out I'd emerge the lone survivor, having clipped almost more than half of the other players in the skull.

This.

Also Arcanum. With proper mage build you can insta-kill everything except for the last boss.

Well... At one point in WoW, I was assaulted by two Rogues in greens and heirlooms. I was playing on my Arms Warrior in a Battleground, as soon as I killed the first one, a third one joined, decked out in Ruthless. A mixture of Overpower, Bladestorm and Victory Rush made me howl "I AM A GOD" on voice chat. Probably sounded ridiculous with my whiny Swedish accent. Yes. I had better gear, didn't make it feel any less awesome though. This was all in Alterac Valley as far as I recall, didn't get help either, kinda got jumped on the way to the enemy base.
Ah I remember those good ol' days with my Arms Warrior cruzing with full Relentless gear (WotLK) and wiping the floor with anyone other than a rogue (most of the time).
Hi, i'm a shadow priest, otherwise known as the bane of your existence. :D
Huh, I heard those Disc Priests are kicking all ass, especially Shadow Priest, within a 30 yd range other than different Disc Priests

Everytime i see the word " Perfect" come across the screen when i am playing UMVC3. It's been hapening quite often lately ( at least once a day ) . My team x-23 , dormammu , storm . Unconventional team . But SO damn effective ,if i get the first hit . I don't even have touch of death combos , but once i get the first hit , it's all up to my mix-up game , a thing i have plenty of . Most of the time storm doesn't even get a chance to come into play .

To add insult to injury, sometimes if all three of my characters are alive and i have x-factor and 3 meters , i will do one simple combo x-factor and end it with a combination team super . 1 mil damage . Like a boss . People usually quit after that .

Geneforge 2, where you can almost become a god.
Quite a spoiler if you ever plan to play the game.
I'm trying to hug you, but my screen keeps getting in the way. ;_;

OT: ...Geneforge 2! I never got the Barzite ending (I dislike the smug twats), but I DID finish the Taker ending once (I guess I went insane?). I had two eye creatures that followed me around and ended everything nearby.

As in... everything. In one hit.

Awwwww yeah.

Kingdom Hearts II. Say what you will about the reaction commands, soumersaultimg over a 20-foot-high Nobody and thrashing him unconcious gave a tremendous feeling of empowerment.

Thought of another one: Ghost master. What's more powerful that commanding a legion of the dead to control the actions of mortals to suit your aims and then, when they are of no more use to you, chasing them out of town?
